hello,
Does anyone here that plays Electric Guitar, Know how to stop the sliding noise of the strings when you move your finger to the next fret, It's really anoying and makes poeple think ur Crap
lift your finger when you strike a string and quickly jump to the next fret that happen to me too so go really fast and eventually it would leave
A perfectly tuned guitar is great too
I have never gotten to play electric guitar at all, only accoustic. I play violin in real life. What is electric like? (Is it one of those things you just have to do? Maybe I'm stupid to ask.)
Just use an electric tuner to begin with. That's how I did and now I don't need a tuner at all. The more you tune up your guitar, the more you'll learn the actual tones and it'll become second nature. For anyone beginning that probably sounds magical! But it's very real.
As for another way of tuning up, I usually get the first string bang on. Then I get the harmonic on the next string at the 7th fret, this should be the same pitch as the preceding string. Match them up and the string will be tuned correctly. Works nicely. 5th string doesn't operate the same as the others though, so watch for that.
Peace,
Adam.
