So my Queen+ Paul Rodgers "blank" download discs arrived this morning.
The disc and packaging are nice - exactly what I expected really.
Should make a good souvineer of the tour.
Received mine as well. Originally ordered 1 to see what it was like. Will probably order a couple more now for the rest of the tracks.
My only thought now is how I note down which tracks are on which CD. I think I will do this myself with my photo printer and CD labeling package and just design a nice little insert with the tracklisting. That's if I ever decide the order I am going to burn the tracks in.
Overall pretty happy with the CD.
Can't scan pics in from the computer I am working on at the moment.
The insert is basically just 1 page. Ie. 4 sides the size and shape of the CD.
First side is the cover exactly like the picture on the queenzone webpage. Queen+PR logo Europe live text etc.
The 2 inside pages are covered with a picture of Roger / Brian and Paul during rehersals for the tour. The same picture appears in the Tour Programme
Final Side is a run down of the Band etc.
Paul vocals
Roger Drums
Brian Guitar
etc
and productin by JJS etc.
The back of the CD case is just a bit of text (one or 2 lines) that talks about the release of the downloads from the shows and that they can be burnt to this CD as a memory od the Tour etc. Again similar text appeared in the Tour Program on the page that advertised the downloads.
The whole package is based on the purple colour fo the Queen+PR Tour.
The CD itself has a rather nice close up of the new Pheonix logo from the tour and the word Queen in large letters.
I will see if I can put some pics up later but can't do it right now.

Rather than ordering another blank CD I'm going to use a CD case that has the internal flap for holding a 2nd CD on the other side & just use an orinary blank CD for the 2nd disc.
That's a pretty good idea. To take it a step further....
I guess if you are planning to download all the tracks, like myself, (which may require about 5 CDsto burn them all) you could get one of those CD boxes that they use for Audiobooks which hold upto 6 discs. I like the idea a lot.
The only pity we can't buy just the discs without the Jewel case for a reduced price.

I just intend to download the best of each song in order to make up a 25 track (or so) typical live set. So thats 2 hours which will easily fit on 2 discs.
