I like to learn languages and I'm making an effort(?) to brush up my English and up to several years ago, I was learning French and Russian, too...I think I can still read a little bit of them....but I may forget them more than I thought, hahaha...anyway recently I've been concentrating on English... |
KillerQueen840 22.04.2005 21:03 |
I know some Spanish but my stronger language is Latin. (take a glance at my signature) I had four years of Spanish and the sad thing is, I am not even done a full year learning Latin and I know MUCH more of it than Spanish. |

Let's see...I'm fluent in English and German, I can barely communicate in Italian, and I know maybe 10 words apiece of French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, and Latin. Clearly we are a species that has yet to figure out the benefits of true communication. |

:P well, i'm an ancient linguist. basically, most of the ancient italic languages (like oscan, etruscan and umbrian) were taken over by latin round about the first century BC... akkadian and sumerian are the languages of mesopotamia, sumerian is not connected to any other language in the world, while akkadian is a semitic language and has many dialects (eg assyrian and babylonian)... |

And I know 2 words in Irish: Failte and Slainte (when you know slainte you'll always do well in Ireland I suppose) ;-) Oh and a few words in yugoslavian and parsi. |
