Hope the bastard who did this to that little girl rots in hell for what he did.
Incidently, this is a lot like another victim, Rebecca Sawyer. Thanks to Barry_uk I came across this site link you really should check this out. Only the hardest of hearts would fail to be moved by her mothers poem for her thats on there. And when you are there, please check out their campaign (called Justice For Rebecca) which calls for a change in the law with regard to these types of killers
RIP Rebecca and Tamara,
Dave
Its idiots like these that make me think they should bring back the death penalty. All they get is almost just a slap on the wrist while the families of the victims get life.
My heart goes out to them.
This is what I most fear when I drive at night. It is worse when you've not been drinking yourself and have some cunt wit who thinks they can drive home and ends up killing a sober as tea-tree oil person.
Saddening.

It's stories like these that make me wonder why in the world people drink at all. I find it so obnoxious when people brag about drinking or when they make jokes about getting drunk. They get drunk, but all at the same time they are hypocritical by saying how wrong a person is for being drunk while driving.
Poor little girl. She's just one of countless people who has the same sad demise.
I dont know what it's like in other countries but in the UK you can legally drink about 2-3 pints of beer and still drive. Why they wont make it 0 pints I do not know.
I know someone who has recently lost their licence for drink driving and they had the audacity to start moaning about it. He got a £500 fine and a 2 year ban, but I still don't think that was enough.
Brimon, I have absolutely no sympathy for your friend. Drink driving - there is no excuse for it at all.
And btw... I did check that poem on the Rebecca Sawyer site - and yes, as Mr Mercury says, only the hardest of hearts would fail to find any sympathy for that girls parents and family.
Sadly tho... this wont stop other idiots doing something similar in the future.
I disagree that the recklessness of a few people should discourage everyone from drinking at all. Drinking is fine in moderation.
What I will say is that when I eventually learn how to drive, I would never have even ONE drink and then drive. Despite it being legal, I would not take that risk.
DeaconJohn is right. With everything. It shouldn't be a case of having a blood alcohol level of 0.05% (in Australia). My theory is no alcohol at all should be detectable.
Even when I was intoxicated and hopped into my car (to hide from a couple of friends who had walked a girl home) I made sure I threw my keys away from my car on to my mates lawn. I then told my friend beside me not to let me start it. Idiotic, I know but I was for damn sure not going to be killed/kill others..
Funny you should mention that, Barry. I was in court the other day (my dad is a police prosecutor) and one bloke was actually drunk whilst in court. Along with the $400 and suspension of license for 6 months he copped a further $300 for reckless driving and another $100 for contemptous behaviour. I laughed. $800 fine for drink driving.
Mind you, Deaky got done for drink driving.

It's not 2-3 (unless it's very weak beer) more like half of that, it all depends on your metabalism, but for most people a pint is OK (In the eyes of the law) but 2 may push you over the limit. I will not drink anything if I know that I'm driving, but I would not suport a 0 limit as there must be a small allowance for people driving the morning after, or who have eaten some sherry trifle for instance. I think that the legal limit should be half what it is now.
Dan
True dat. I've heard of people being charged for DUI after eating a cherry ripe..
Don't know what relevancy that had.

And now Arsenal footballer Jermaine Pennant has joined the list of tossers. At least he never killed anyone.
Actually I would support a 0 limit. I know that English Bowman argued for things like people having eaten Sherry Trifle, but that fact it has "sherry" in the name should make you think twice. And as for driving the morning after, I say you shouldnt take alcohol the night before as it stays in you system for at least 24 hours - and no amount of sobering up techniques can stop that.
But thats just my point of veiw....

You should see the bastards who drive in their flash cars with their music pumping, and speed up and down the roads almost trying to knock people down. You can see they've been drinking and, surprise surprise they're almost always young male knackers! And not just in Dublin, down in the country there's culchies racing up and down the roads. I always here on the news about someone being killed because of drink driving. Fucking bastards who think they know everything and try to impress everyone woith their driving...trying to be hard men.
Sometimes in this world I'm embarrassed to be a human being.
Sorry, got a little carried away...
Its the same round my way as well. These knobheads seem to think that its a laugh.
