In the Uncut interview, Paul Rodgers states that he wanted to play I'm Going Slightly Mad...
(But they are probably not going to do it because it might be a problem doing it live)
I know many of you think different, but personally I'm getting worried about the setlist.
Spike get's his big hits (1 down) and now Paul Rodgers lets us know he wanted to play one of the worst tracks Queen ever recorded (IMHO)... At least it is an indication of what kind of Queen songs he likes...
Off they go, my hopes for My Melancholy Blues, The Prophets Song and White Queen...
lol
Would be a real killer as opener, followed by Pain Is So Close To Pleasure, and Leaving Home Ain't Easy.
But honestly, there is no reason to be afraid of a "worst-of" setlist, I think the man has some taste.
Also, I'd prefer Slightly Mad over e.g. Break Free or other songs. Maybe they'd arrange it differently...
Slightly Mad is a great song, a fine piece of art for me, with a great lyric full of irony, I love it!
What PR says is that the song isn´t his style, so he is not gonna sing it.

You're right......never played live before. Paul said that he likes this song but feels it's too much "tongue in cheek" for him to play live. It won't be played anyway. It's one of those songs which falls into the "Only Freddie can really pull off" and is way too "camp" for the likes of Paul Rodgers. Great song though and brilliant video. Freddie does a Noel Coward!
Slightly Mad was never a favourite of mine. But I do like it way more than a lot of songs the band performed on stage: Now I'm Here, Ga Ga, Break Free, Magic, Friends Will Be Friends...
I know, that's what I said. I was trying to suggest is that this could/might be an indication of what kind of Queen songs he might pick! (Which I personally hope not)
Mr. Scully wrote: Slighly Mad is indeed one of the worst Queen songs ever recorded... but it can't be played live, it wouldn't work at all, totally boring.
Maybe one of the worst in your opinion but what about.....Body Language. This song is absolute ******* shite!! How the **** it was released as a single is beyond me. Here's my Hot Space alternative single releases(UK):-
Under Pressure (shouldn't have been on the album)
Staying Power
Action This Day
Put Out The Fire
I'm Going Slightly Mad wouldn't work well live. Doesn't suit Paul at all.
Slightly Mad is one of the best tracks from Innuendo. Yes, it's in very strange mood - so that's why I like it. So thanks God that Paul won't sing it - I don't want to hear ruined version of this song, IMO.

I think my eyes have gone funny because I'm so tired. Do you know, it actually looks like it says people DON'T like I'm Going Slightly Mad!
Wow, I really must get some sleep...
