What's strange about it, Rien?
Most of my friends never listen to Queen. So I guess they think "what's so fascinating about two aging rockers playing the same old songs that now he even wants to go to see them in concert?"
my friends think im weird,
they're all into pop music of today, when i told them i was going to see queen in concert, they all said "how? freddie's dead?" some people just dont get it!
I don't give a flying **** what friends think about Queen or any other band which I might like. People have different tastes but from where I come from talking about "rugby" and "humping sheep" are main gossip issues. Also, people with little knowledge of "Queen" think "that's the band with that poof with the mustache.....how can anyone like them". Just about sums up the thoughts of some "small town people" with small town minds. But I guess it's the same wherever you go.
i was speaking to mates in the pub one who saw queen at st james & knenbworth, i went to wembley as his opinion was it aint queen without freddie, my own opinion lets see what happens, but id much prefer a new album before a tour & then promote it which makes me think this may just a one off thing i.e. not a new permanent new queen line up

Some of my friends like me for liking great music but most like to take the piss out of me for it. I don't care though. It's alot better than the type of shit they all listen to.
What I meant was, first of all this being a silly question and second if it is your friend or are your friends, they let you free in listening to whatever you like.
And does it matter what someone else thinks about you listening to Queen? It's about you enjoying their music isn't it.
I know, I know, I'm a bit too serious in answering this question right now. :-)
