As far as I'm concerned, Michael Moore dropped his own movie from the Best Documentary category to compete for Best Movie.
I think this might be the chance for Martin Scorcese to finally win that best director Oscar he's been deserving for decades.
All the nominees seem to truly deserve it. Except for 'Shark Tale' which was nothing but a 'Finding Nemo' rip-off over hyped with A list celebrity voices. The Sponge-Bob movie deserve that nomination 100 times more than 'Shark Tale'.
I can't believe the only nomination Kinsey got was for Best Supporting Actress! I would've loved to see it up as Best Picture, but Liam Neeson should've at least been nominated as Best Actor. And I still don't get why everybody loved Finding Neverland. I thought it was good, but not seven Oscar nominations good!

They said the biggest upset was Paul Giamatti from 'Sideways'. Oh well.
Mr.Jingles79 wrote: I think that even more upset was Bill Murray. He was upset enough when he lost it to Sean Penn, and this time he's not even nominated.
And on a related note, EVERYONE needs to see "The Life Aquatic"! It's one of the best movies EVER! :D
It hurts to predict this, but I really think Leonardo DiCaprio will get that Oscar. I think there are people who deserve it more but there you have it. The Oscars are bollocks anyway, how else do you explain Kate Winslet never winning anything?
