Or Roger even, since he enjoyed singing it with Freddie in their tours?
Nothing against Bowie of course as my family are fans of him, but surely either Brian or Roger could have sang it with him?
How many of such questions do you have? Why didn't Brian sing '39, why didn't Brian sing UP with Fred...
Don't worry, mate, Brian sung a lot of other songs! And he even played guitar on them sometimes! But... Why didn't Roger play guitar on The Invisible Man????............
Just kidding
I was wondering, why Tony Iommi didn't sing Somebody To Love?
Why Robert Plant didn't play the guitar solo of Innuendo?
Why Montserrat Caballe didn't play a drum solo before Radio Ga Ga?
LOL why didnt Queen Elizabeth II sing God Save The Queen at the end of A Night At The Opera?!?
FWIW, UP is every bit as much of a Bowie song as it is a Queen one. In fact it's been established that the famous bassline was thought up by DB, not JD as was previously assumed. He also came up with the title. And AT LEAST all the lines he sung were written by him. Brian says on GHV2 he also came up with the concept. He also suggested David Mallet for the collage video.
The Bowie session started as an informal drunken jam after dinner anyway...
