newcastle 86! 16483 11.01.2005 21:38 |
tell u the truth id like to hear robbie williams sing that |
foxxy_moron 11.01.2005 21:40 |
maybe do you think he could really pull it off? i know he could pull off some heavier stuff like hammer to fall or headlong... althought robbie sings his own slower songs very beautifully.. like angels and feel. |
newcastle 86! 16483 11.01.2005 21:43 |
i honestly think he could do it his voice would really suit that range |
foxxy_moron 11.01.2005 21:43 |
hey, you could be right!! |
newcastle 86! 16483 11.01.2005 21:47 |
tell you what else would be good let me live...........any thoughts? |
foxxy_moron 11.01.2005 21:49 |
headlong live would be great.. they did it well in the musical. the crowd i was with really needed to be more enthusiastic. there werent true queen fans in there. there were girls there who just went because it seemed cool... and thats just sad. |
newcastle 86! 16483 11.01.2005 21:51 |
yeah i know what u mean we all gotta start somewhere.... they probably didnt get any of the songs or the meanings which is sad........ |
foxxy_moron 11.01.2005 21:53 |
yeah but those girls i sat next to didnt even know the bands member's names or anything. then when my friend and i were singing along to bohemian rhapsody, they didnt know the words. ok i shouldnt complain but still, if you're going to see a musical with familiar things in it, at least get to know a BIT of the background :) sorry for complaining |
opera39 12.01.2005 00:05 |
I've always loved Tie your mother down live. Also We will rock you, the slow version. |
foxxy_moron 12.01.2005 00:13 |
The fast version is really cool too. |
Shane Jazz 12.01.2005 00:19 |
Two songs that never failed to dazzle when played live: White Queen & Don't Stop Me Now.... |
foxxy_moron 12.01.2005 00:24 |
the crowd really does a great job whenever they play radio gaga. |
Teo_torriate04 12.01.2005 04:23 |
Spread Your Wings, superb. Was gutted when they dropped it from the set when I saw them at Wembley Arena in 1980. |
LivingGirl 12.01.2005 04:45 |
my fav live tracks... Somebody to Love(esp. Live at the Bowl version, superb) In the Lap of the Gods(Wembley) Staying Power Action this Day Another One Bites the Dust |
ActionThisDay 12.01.2005 08:10 |
Stone Cold Crazy was alway's a good 'un and I alway's thought that 'Get Down Make Love' of the Jazz/Live Killers era was pretty cool (You've got to hear the Berlin '79 Version.....:)) Don't mind A.O.B.T.D of the 80 - 82 era as well.. |
Daveboy35 12.01.2005 08:19 |
My favourite live tracks are after much soul searching White queen(as it began) hammersmith and hyde park versions simply stunning and beautiful now i'm here (L/killers era) and get down make love taking a good song off news of the world and taking it to the extreme on stage. |
jamesB 12.01.2005 11:02 |
'Spread Your Wings, superb. Was gutted when they dropped it from the set when I saw them at Wembley Arena in 1980. ' Bet you are not gutted that you got to go to that gig now - you lucky spud. |

Umm... it seems I've got a crush on Big Spender and the Rock'n'Roll Medley for the moment. Freddie did Big Spender and Stupid Cupid in an incredibly sexy way (Stupid Cupid at Golders Green Hippodrome'73 is awesome!). I also love Crazy Little Thing at Live Aid, it's certainly one of their finest moments. Teffific. Don't Stop Me now either - just love the Hammy'79 version... Ogre Battle and Liar. It's a pity they've dropped them from the setlist in the 80s. Especially Liar... always one of my favs (Hammy'75 is the one!). |

Las Palabras De Amor 12.01.2005 15:27 |
We are the Champions. It's the best way to end their concerts. I thought Radio Ga Ga sounded cool too. And of course the big head banging rock part of Bohemian Rhapsody. :D |
Daveboy35 12.01.2005 15:52 |

Son and Daughter is AWESOME. Also, right now I love The Hero, that song is a great "pump you up" song. I love "staying power" "action this day" and "back chat" and "put out the fire"(I'm on a bit of a Hot Space fetish) Brighton Rock is the greatest... I know it's not like this for everybody, but I kind of get hypnotized when I hear it. |
Anto1 13.01.2005 19:37 |
>>>Brighton Rock is the greatest... I know it's not like this for everybody, but I kind of get hypnotized when I hear it. That song did that to me for years. Live Killers version. |

no order... -White Queen ( The harmony between Freddie's piano and Brian's guitar is so beautiful. ) -Stone Cold Crazy ( from Rainbow Theater Nov.'74 ) -Action This Day -Hammer To Fall -Tie Your Mother Down ( I always love it played in the live shows. ) -Now I'm Here ( Freddie's vocal improvisation is cool in late '70s. ) -White Man and Prophet's Song including vocal improvisation ( especially from Earl's Court ) -Liar ( I enjoy listening to Freddie's ad-lib. ) -Rock'n'roll medley ( from Earl's Court ) |
The King Of Rhye 16.01.2005 05:49 |
this was said by about a gazillion people before me, but anyway..........I LOVE White Queen live....in particular the Glasgow 77 version (that I downloaded from here!)....awesome piano playing throughout.........also, a few other things that I dont think were mentioned.....the version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love from the 2nd disc of Queen On Fire, or from Queen Live in Japan...........excellent!! the Morgan Fisher piano really adds a LOT to it, I feel....(hmm. guess I like piano in Queen songs!) And I've always loved the rendition of Save Me from the We Will Rock You DVD..... and I also like the combo of White Man and The Prophet's Song from Glasgow...... oh hell, I just LOVE Queen.........heh |
