Ooooh!!! I think there's going to be a new one tonight too!!!! I'm glad you reminded me!!!
I don't think this counts as a horror movie, cos it isn't scary, but Van Helsing is my favorite movie for every category.
Last night I saw das Geschah Am helligten Tag.
Strangly enough it was scary.
I would never watch the exorcist, I would just couldn't sleap for the rest of my life.
I saw one trailer and I couldn't sleep for a view weeks, I always pray i won't dream about it again (serious) I am really not a scared chicken but things with possed body's just scare me completly off.
Further I like The Pledge, Red Dragon, Amsterdammend, The Lift, Fatal Attraction and what is it called again? euhm oh yes Jaws keeps me out from the sea for almost my hole live (saw them all three whenn I was like seven years old)
originial Japanese Ring!
recently watched Japanese Grudge 1 and 2... very scary but as complete films they didn't quite work.
Has anyone seen the new remake of the Grudge?

Don't even think about slasher flicks. Absolutely hate them. Despise them.

First things first here people! Rosemary's Baby was not even close to scary.... Just like Blair Witch Project, which I do not think was scary at all either. You are picking movies that aren't scary! What is the deal?...lol
I like the new Grudge and The Ring was pretty creepy. I wanna watch the Japenese versions, with English subtitles of course cuz I am rusty on my Japanese.... All I know is Konichiwa (sp?) But Aliens is also not a horror film. It is a science fiction film. Jaws is not a horror film either. That is the same to me as saying Best of Bill Nye the Science Guy as a horror film. I mean honestly!
Killaqueen!!! wrote: The Ring is sooooo boring! I'd say the grudge will be very good when it comes out.
Um..the exorcist and the new exorcist...has anyone seen the nightmare before christmas? That's deadly! It's not scary but very cool!
have you seen the Original Japanese version?
do you watch horror films on your own or with several other people?
It does make a difference. Try watching the original Japanese versions of the Grudge 1 and 2 before you watch the remake.
I thought 'Rosemary's Baby' is an excellent flick, and that's because it's a flick that doesn't scare with the gruesome kind of horror that most scary flicks have, but it's pure psychological horror.
The only thing I have to complain about 'Rosemary's Baby' is that the ending is a complete cliffhanger, and audiences are left wondering what would happen next after Rosemary finds out that her baby is the son of the devil. I would have expected something happening in the end... like Rosemary grabbing her baby and running away, or tossing the baby out the window, but no... nothing happens.
I haven't seen that many horror movies, but I love the movie Gothika! And The Butterfly Effect is really good, but I'm not sure if that's really considered horror . . . Chucky's good too.
The Exorcist ain't scary anymore, it was once
"It" would be one
The Others
but that's it
I have yet to find a really good scary movie, that won't let me sleep
In Mexico we are good with those, I hope that now that they are doing Japanese movies into American versions, they do some Latin American ones too
Geeks! I love Wait Until Dark! When Alan Arkin pops out of nowhere and grabs Audrey Hepburn's leg, i almost died.
1. The Shining
2. The Devil's Backbone
3. 28 Days Later
4. Silence Of The Lambs (more creepy)
