i am just comming back from the cinema.
they only showed 60 minutes of the concert.
they also patched interviews in,between the songs and in the middle of borap like in the bad old doro days.
who needs this??
so we probably have to buy dvd and cd to get a proper live experience.
clever,qp,clever.
I went too, and I have to say it is promising !
Although I was also dissapointed that it had been edited down to 60 Minutes, and the sound in the cinema was awful - way too loud (they pumped up the volume during the screening until it almost hurted), just the front speakers and barely bass. But from GVH2 we know that it will sound much better, so I blame that on the cinema sound.
Knebworth, where were you ? Was the sound equally bad ? I was in Cologne-Huerth.
The footage is fantastic and the overall impression of the performance was great. The intro is very nice (the guys arriving with a heli and the crowd going nuts during the taped "Flash"-Intro). The audience is clearly audible and seemed to be really receptive that night. The boys were in good shape, I recommend "Sheer Heart Attack" - mind-blowing !
I guess it is a special promo version of the DVD, maybe even without 5.1.
The interview bits during the songs are really disturbing, but the published tracklisting says those interviews are on the second disc, so I really hope too, that it was a special edit for the screening.
The guys really rock - they seem to really rush through the gig at a frantic pace, sheer power !
Yes, edited down badly and poor cinema-sound - but the concert itself is Queen at their very, very best ! Can't wait till Monday !!!
Forget about the cinema!
It´s a horrible sound, just 2 front speakers in stereo only. No surround sound, not loud enough, almost no bass and heavily edited (Köln-Hürth UCI Cinema).Kind of bad sounding Doro stuff.
We went out after 20 minutes, completely disappointed.
Only - the pictures are phantstic.
