...how to recognise fake one...? I just bought one for... 12 pounds (and yes, I do know how much is it really worth!), and it looks really, really great!!! Picture sleeve looks awesome! And the place I bought it in is one I found some time ago, where they really don't know what they're selling- I already had some really nice bargains there... I really doubt it's real one (what was it- 30 copies?), but... One can hope, right? :) So- how to recognise fake?
i bought mine for 100€ in mint and with the big matrix-number but i am not 100% sure that it is the real one.if someone has the real copy ,can he please describe the matrix??i know that this item has been bootleged a lot by some german"fans"in the 90ies to rip other fans off.
If the matrix number reads as on eil's desription, (PRP1397), it's real. The digits are fairly spaced out.
I've no idea what a bootleg would look like, other than they're usually on coloured vinyl.
I can do a scan of the real one though (which is, of course, for sale...) if it'll help.
i ment counterfeit,not bootleg.so,if i have one with a matrix-number as described i´ll probably have a real one,but also a matrix-number can be faked,isn´t it.i would like to see a real one or a photo of a matrix-number if possible.
OK- thanks guys for your help- it is FAKE!
However, I paid only 12 pounds, the sleeve looks really all right, so... that's all right, just as I thought :)
Numbers have been scratched out AND it's coloured vinyl
ALSO- the orange/red part of the picture sleeve on the fake one is a little bit more red than on original.
