i never cared for the vandals at all, but the cover ain't too bad, AND IT'S GOING TO BE THEIR NEXT single? what does that say about the band when their single is actually just a cover of another one released almost 30 years ago?? They had their guitar player sing on the song, it isn't even their actual singer...so it's kinda meant to be a joke I think....
ok ok, the ataris henly cover aside, boys of summer was the record labels decision not theirs...
still I'd rather hear this on the radio than some other crap...oh wait...I DON'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO!!!
It is supposed to be a joke, as the entire band's music is everything but about being serious. I think it's a great rendition, and they set the way for Green Day's WATC. Although the latter remained in the Queen tradition, by providing the piano.
So what if the guitarist, not being the lead singer, sings? He does that on stage as well (the last song of a gig), I haven't seen many do that (doing the vocals for a song)
The reason for such a late debate is that I only recently saw the video and wanted to see if there're any reactions on Queenzone. It's punk, "dude"!
