Does anyone else think that the two 1984-interviews on the Solo Collection-CD were not recorded in Munich, as David claims. The first one seems to have been recorded right after the first concert at the NEC (31st of August).
I'm not sure about the second one. It may be part of the same interview, but I don't think it is. It does sound like a different recording (different acoustics).
Right at the start of the second one Freddie states that he would embark on working on his solo album for about three months and he says he would do that "in about a week's durance, after I've finished this". He also explicitely mentions he would go to Germany, so it can impossible have been recorded in Munich.
The question is what Freddie expected to finish in a week's durance. It can't have been the tour (which would've implied that the interview was recorded in South Africa), as he also says that a tour was being planned (including South Africa).
Apparently, the two interviews actually ended up on the disc in reverse chronological order.
I still wonder what the thing that Freddie expected to be finished may have been...
Anyway, I guess it was recorded some time in spring 1984, as it would've left him with May, June, July/August for his planned three months recording-phase (not sure though, his plans may have been scrapped or altered soon after) before having to start rehearsals for the tour.
Any other ideas ?
...gee, I guess the demand for the umpteenth thread about Freddie's moustache and our favourite songs is higher. Well, fair enough. It's probably called market forces or something...;)
