I went for my first blood test today. It went ok but i have always been scared of blood, veins and needles since i was a child and had internal bleeing in my sinuses. I wondered at the time, what things scare people these days? Are we becoming more and more immune through the generations or are there things that will always scare mankind> Hmmmm....
Yes, the sight of blood makes me feel ill. I don't mind being stuck (har har) but seeing my blood in such a quantity freaks me out. However, blood from a normal small cut or whatever doesn't bother me.
And I must say, the worst part for me about having blood taken (which just happened a week or so ago) is not the needle or the blood.. it's taking off that damn tape they put over the cotton! Man alive that hurts! From now on I'm going to refuse it and just hold the cotton there for awhile myself.
SPIDERS!!
GOD I FUCKIN' HATE THEM.
However part of my sub-conscious loves the thrill of being scared, and sometimes I feel curious to see spiders to see how scared I can get.
I still hate to see a close-up of a tarantula poping out on the screen on Animal Planet or Discovery.
Kiwis and their corruption of perfectly sound words like 'fish' and to a lesser extent 'chips'. Ugh!
*whistle innocently*
And any other state in Australia. I hate 'em all.
I laugh at spiders.
Living in a house with so damn many of them if I was afraid of them I'd go nuts already... or never come in the house. I just see them, say "ick." scoop them up in a kleenex and chuck them into some untimely death. mwahahaha.
Clowns, of course, can be extended to mean 'fools' and 'fools' of course, can be extended to refer to Australians.
In fact, what scares me the most is that some day (when I'm rich, powerful and famous) they'll try and claim ME.
That scares me.
Lies! *claims Russel Crowe, Martin Crowe and Keisha Castle-Hughes*
Well, technically Keisha Castle-Hughes is Aussie. She comes from Donnybrook, just down the road from me...well it's a freakin' long road. Anywho they have apple lamp posts that got stolen whilst I was down there. I had nothing to do with it.
Bridges scare me. OF DEATH!
Oh yeah, another thing I'm scared of...Pokemon - and not because they're intimidating either.
Dan, I would like nothing more than a pet tarantula, but I don't think my parents want anymore ugly animals in the house :)
