"Rockin Paris"
Another thing for the convention organisers in the US.
Why not hold the convention in Las Vegas? According to this, the WWRY musical will open on mid Sept. It will be a grand opportunity.
"Surviving Queen players Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon have supported the production and are expected to attend the Vegas opening."
Even John eh? :) I heard he's been spotted at least at one performance, but I can't quite imagine him traveling all the way to Vegas for this.
I can't! I'd have to sneak past my parents! And if you think they'd ship me out to Vegas, you've got another think a-comin'! *cries*
ask UPS how much it would be to ship ya lol
Alex, you're OLD enough -- GO!!
Me, not so sure. Too many money traps in Vegas, too much temptation. Brian and Roger SHOULD really consider New York City. Many great places to hold a musical debut there!

Just THINK of all the lap dances he would enjoy!! ;-))
Lisa I don't think they'll reconsider. The deal of doing it in Las Vegas has already been done, so it seems by the article.
I too wondered why did they didn't consider Broadway. If they want their show to be respected, and at the same time, make money, they'll should've decided on NY.
However, Las Vegas, is more of a monetarial venture, rather than a artistic venture. I think Brian and Roger's ambition is to make more money out of this, so it seems. I don't see why. I'm sure they have tons of it already, and the musical has been a hit. Also, Las Vegas, for me, is a very tacky place to pull off a musical.
Bleh, let them do whatever they want. I know that I'm not going.
The "We Will Rock You Musical" schtick and excess will fit in perfectly with Vegas. The "We Will Rock You Musical" hardly qualifies as fine art, and an opening in tacky Vegas is probably more suitable than an opening on Broadway.
Yeah the plot is a work of art and was not ripped off from Rush 2112 ...
I saw it at the convention and was not impressed ... but I was in the minority.
Maybe it's time to use that two-syllable "S" word to weakly defend my opinion. LOL
Let see you're close ... Your second geuss is half correct and has the correct letter length, but only the first two letters and last two letters are correct
"Yeah the plot is a work of art and was not ripped off from Rush 2112 ..."
Yeah, I have to agree with that comment. The musical's plot is a straight rip-off of a 28 year old concept album.
My friend who is a huge Rush fan informs me that 2112 was about a future with no music at all, so it's close but not a complete rip-off. The STYX mini film to accompany 'Kilroy Was Here' had a similar plot as well.

Okay, you win this time! >:)
If anyone saw Rush on the original 2112 tour (besides myself!), then you'll remember exactly how it goes:
"We are the priests of the temples of Syrinx..." etc etc.
The show was GREAT! And thinking of the storyline of WWRY, a little too close for comfort too...
Think I'll dig 2112 out and give it a closer listen!
