Just seen it, and I thought it was awful. I really did. I thought the first one was a really good film, the second one threatened to wreck the series and the third one stuck a very large, very rusty, very shite nail in the coffin.
Terrible, I really thought it had nothing to offer.
OH NO NO NO i like the trilogy....it need much attention to understand it and it's a shame there is the chance of a 4 movie...i think sooner or later they will do it...because there are unsolved questions, and the machines could easily start a new war for some mysterious reason...
1 of those unanswered questions is why Neo can suddenly feel the Sentinals and destroy them.
At the end you see Neo transferred into former agent Smith who then gets destroyed by the Oracle. So.. is he dead? It happened in the Matrix, maybe not...
Smith is the balance to Neo. Without true evil, you can't have true good, blah blah blah. So-by sacrificing himself, there is now no need for Smith, since the equation of the matrix has become so massively unbalanced-and because the architect feels he has to keep that equation in balance, Smith cannot exist in the Matrix without Neo, and so is destroyed. Try thinking about it in terms of them both being computer programs. The virus, Smith, cannot exist because it's got nothing to infect. It has taken over the entire system and eaten itself from the inside out, basically. Smith self-destructed because of Neo's sacrifice.
Why we had to sit through 2 hours of utter crap to find that out on the other hand, is beyond me completely.
