I just wanted to say that although initially the Never Boring box set sounded a bit boring and quite redundant. However, I am one of the Barcelona album fans who actually likes the live orchestra much more than the synthesized original.
I'm so happy that Never Boring has issued these vinyl releases as well.
I wanted to buy the Barcelona (redux) on vinyl for a while now, but it was always too expensive, around $100.
Now on Oct 11th it is getting a new release and its for the wonderfully low price of $16.19. I have mine pre-ordered, I even got the Mr Bad Guy album, just because its so affordable.
I find the sound of CDs to be mostly surface noise, everything right at the front.
The sound of vinyl goes deeper, and it doesn't matter if it has been digitally remastered, maybe its the needle on the turntable that makes the sound more natural.
Even the Complete Studio box set sounds much better than the CDs.
The Beatles Stereo box set is even a better example.
I'm not an audiophile by any stretch, I only know how it sounds on my turntable.
