What ever the reason behind the song it is always interesting to find out what a song was intentionally about instead of all the childish replies. Some of us really want to know what Freddie's songs are all about. Mercury always wrote very interesting songs.

This was meant to be a serious discussion but as usual you all act like 5 year old kids.
Pretty pathetic.
You ruin every topic you contribute to so this is people treating you the way you treat others. Not nice, is it? But I'm sure you'll fail to learn that simple lesson and continue whining like the whiny bitch you are.
My take: Freddie was watching Jim Hutton's underwear flapping on the windowsill early one morning.... glowing yellow in the sun.
But of course this is only speculative stuff, not conjecture - and is unfounded and likely incorrect....
Without the full tape or someone who was present, we may never know

Holly2003 You are the classic troll on here congrats!
Being as you are incapable of relying to any post without a derogatory comment, and repost the same shite over and over again and in the process have ended up on the wrong side of almost everyone, have you ever thought that maybe you're the troll
Vocal Harmony You are deluded and your comment on the other thread "The show must go on" you turn homophobic calling me a fudge rider.
You are a disgusting homophobic idiot.
If you want a fight bitch bring it on but you will lose,
Gerry, come on man - you took your question from the Yellow Breezes thread on the "General" forum. It's not your idea, really - and the answer you're looking for is over on the other one. Not jumping on your back or looking for an argument (really!!), but don't see why you've created this thread.
THISTLE I just wanted an update to see if anyone had any more info on the track .
Usually lots of Queen and Freddie tracks are unexplained and it is very interesting to understand what they are all about !

“Yellow breezes” was north eastern slang for a hangover long ago, he more than likely learned the phrase in NYC or touring New England.
I did NOT know that. Thanks!
I'll go look it up now to hopefully be assured that you didn't simply make it up! ;)
I reckon it's just down to how people interpret them. I've not found anything other than suggestions here that there's a drugs link, although have seen it said here and other places online that it's slang for hangover.
I wouldn't get too upset at some of the answers from earlier - some were funny, and some people just like a laugh, even if they couldn't give you a definite answer.
^yes because it's such an unfinished thing that it's likely gibberish holding a melody together with the right amount of syllables.
I thought that was obvious to folks.
NOW, .. onto important matters. .. WHAT IS GAZELLE about?
Was Freddie thinking about RUNNING AWAY from the band???!
