I would love, only for one time, Smile returns to play again and do it a concert or a small tour. I would like it more than "Queen"+ Lambert again... The Cross did a last concert to finish the story of the band.
Tim still sings well. Imagine...If I was a carpenter, April Lady, See what a Fool I've been, Step on me, Earth, Blag, Doing Alright, Polar Bear, Silver Salmon and some covers from Creem...
Tim Sttaffell said he would like it when I asked him. Of course, I know is more possible a miracle with a great box set of rarities than this...but I would love it.

Doesn't it bother you that Staffel ran away from Brian and Roger? And now, when he saw that these guys are rich and famous, he waited for Freddie to die and realized over the course of time that he decided to return to them. And what really is the reason that Staffel left Brian and Roger?
Well, they were rich and famous in 1976, before Freddie died, so...
He said yes to publish Ghost of a smile in the 90's, years later than Freddie died.
He also did a comeback in the famous concert with The Cross in 1992 only playing, not recording anything. He still writes music. And he left Smile because he liked more the blues combos. He was first in Morgan, yes, but later in blus bands.
This year would have been the perfect time to reunite and to play a one off gig, with it being 50 years since they formed.
In all honesty, I'd pay good money to see it happen because I know it could never realistically take place more than once now seeing as they're all far too busy to even record a song together in the same studio.
A big shame though and a "lost opportunity" since Roger and Brian are just here to make the big bucks and not actually have some proper fun and do something special for us fans.

I was lucky enough to see smile reunited at the marquee '92. It felt special, I do hope they do a few more... I feel the song Earth is stronger than doin' alright...
I was at both night... Roger Daltrey was special guest on 1st night. Brian was meant to be there both nights but somehow was stuck in Holland. So Daltrey stepped in as the gig needed a special guest (as this was stated on the tickets). So both nights were unique.
Some folk who only attended the 1st night were disappointed as night 2 was proper Smile line up.
I so met Tim after the gig and he was a gentleman... Earth remains one of my Al time favourite songs...
Maybe with Roger as lead singer it could work... Tim can’t sing much of anything now by the sound of it.
Either way it wouldn’t happen - very little money to be made without the ‘Queen’ name attached.
And some great venues around the world being sarcastic...I know it's impossible, but it would be great. Better than what they are doing know with a karaoke toy.
It'd be great, but Brian wouldn't be able to resist playing Chinese Torture and Last Horizon every night and bringing in a hologram of AL.
But a set list of something along the lines of:
Earth
Step On Me
If I Were A Carpenter
Doing All Right
Blag
White Queen
See What A Fool I've Been
April Lady
Silver Salmon
Would be pretty mouthwatering as an opening act prior to whatever shambles MayLor are humping around the globe in search of that perfect selfie.......
A nailed on Tie Your Mother Down every night.
Who knows - perhaps they did it back in those days, or at least the song it used to be. Brian wrote the riff back then y'see
