What is completely clear now is how QPL make money by re-releases.. Movie soundtrack is gonna have Fat Bottomed Girls from paris 1979...
So 1979 is going have a re-release 3Cd set off Live Killers...including Fat Bottomed Girls again and other tracks...
Then a 3rd release off Fat Bottomed Girls Paris in another Box set Dvd. Off all those Gigs we been crying for..in a Edited type off (Rare Live) release. Hyde Park. Houston.. To bad off quality for QPL to release fully.. so guess theyll give us the best bits in one box set.
Typical QPL pay 3 times for same track..

I don't see it that way. I figure it comes from 2 schools of thought - 1. collectors will buy it anyways, let's give them something extra that they don't already have. or 2. since we don't have time to prepare a proper set for the avid queen fan, let's throw them a bone and include a few tracks that are showcased in the movie.
In any regard, i don't see anything wrong with adding a few tracks to this release and later including those same tracks as part of another comprehensive release.
what i find stupid is that they didn't include the full live aid show on cd. They could have setup 2 releases... 1-disc without the "extras" that casual listeners would skip (Doin alright, live versions etc) and a 2-disc version with those tracks, and a full live aid show.
where's the 8-disc vinyl box set of this!? lol
Well, all we can hope is that a really exciting 1979 box is in the works for 2019... The inclusion of FBG from Paris (let's see which night it is, I'm very curious) on the film soundtrack gives me hope.
They have a ton of stuff from 1979 and in my opinion some really fantastic live shows!
If they're smart they include:
- Hammy '79 so that we have a brilliant Freddie 1979 show (in the perfect world they'd slip in a couple more Crazy tour shows in sbd quality, I'm sure they have that!).
- all the best Euro '79 footage they have and LOADS of audio. It'd be a perfect showcase of a truly raw and rocking Queen!
- legendary Japanese stuff. Even if Freddie's voice was chewed, there are still some fantastic moments to enjoy: the band rocking hard during the opening numbers, brighton rock, Freddie footage with bananas on Superman's shoulders from april 24th
If done right a 1979 box could be the biggest and best live release of any band!
Would love a 'Liver Killers' box set done properly with audio, visual and luxury hardback book. As i have mentioned before i would tag it together with Jazz album and assorted rarities.

Well they are playing a few Jazz outtakes at the Freddie birthday event so it's not out of the question
They've been hyping the movie up all year long, I don't think they'll just make a surprise announcement for a new "Jazz" release out of the blue. If they had something lined up, we would know about it by now. But this is just me keeping my hopes down.
Now imagine if they just canceled a NOTW 40th anniversary style "Jazz" version so that the public isn't distracted by a niche product...
I think a Jazz 40th anniversary edition wasn't even considered, this year they've been clearly focused in the movie. Now we'll have the OST in october and surely the DVD/BD later on.
I also believe next year we will have a "Live killers" re-release. That's why it wasn't reissued with the 2011 remasters and it seems they have worked on the full Paris tapes as they already release SHA from one of those shows and FBG will be included in the forthcoming OST.
Brian and Roger don't like Jazz (according to Days Of Our Lives documentary) and it wasn't a big success at its release either. ANATO or The Game is more likely to have a release like NOTW.
In fact, Jazz era live material is of course interesting but in the second or third turn. How about a Hyde Park, Earls Court and Houston? In my opinion this stuff much more important than the concert material of the Jazz period. They just simply spit on the fans with their inconsistent behavior. Fucking QPL...
I bet next year we'll have a 40th anniversary release of the Paris '79 shows, hopefully audio and video. I don't believe a '79 boxset. That's too much work.

What I would like to know is whether those Hammy'79 Multi-tracks are still missing....
Apparently, the 1975 Hammy Multi-tracks were also missing at one point and those have shown up again so...
