This could be seen as a multi question or a trick question... A question that could have a very obvious answer to one... BUT... to another... if taking the meaning and reading it in another way.... it could be answered in a very different way
BUT... I'm curious Queen fan with a very legit question and wanting a definite answer to the very wise council on queenzone.....
From the "@very beginning" What was Queens "#longest song" and... What would have to be ONE Queen song that truly stood the test of time.
@From the very beginning 1969/70 BM,RT/FM 1970/71 FM,BM,RT,??/JD 1971-1986 JD,FM,BM,RT 1992-1997 BM,JD,RT + 1997-2018 BM,RT +
#longest, oldest, most enduring, consecutively/in-consecutively song that was played live
See... it can easily be a tricky question.......
'God Save The Queen' is the longest continuous Queen 'played' track.
As to being performed, that would go to 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. 'Brighton Rock' was not part of the ANATO tour set list at the beginning.
Longest played song- Bohemian Rhapsody, played on every tour since 1975.
Longest length of a song live?- Probably one of the Jazz/Live Killers versions of Brighton Rock. They could go on for as long as 15 minutes.
It seemed like a very straight forward question that I asked myself ages ago. What was the longest/oldest song played live through their entire career... Bohe or Now Im here with Tie your mother as a very close contender, but were they???.... The more I thought about it, the more it evolved to become a trick question.... or a question with many different meanings and many correct answers. Oldest longest/longest running, longest played,longest/most tours a song was played I.e. Queen tour to Magic and beyond to 2018
That's were the wise men AND women on this site could give their answers, your ideas and thoughts.... particularly the wise Three men he who knows all Sebastian The REAL wizard and the Jester Matt Z (you like that one? John Deacon your fav band member and jester on going mad)
Liar would have to be a contender being that it was played almost from day one in almost every tour be it a random song or a part like Wembley.
KYA... When was that song first played?? Pre John Deacon? That case it also went for a very long run almost also played in some point during their live careers
Blag/SAD/BR WAS A SURPRISE ONE.... it kinda is a guitar solo really that has been a long running song.. also vives with Liar as the longest song..possibly THE oldest queen song viing with.....
Jesus or doing alright as the oldest song..??
Make up your mind.
What question(s) are you asking?
I'll repeat: 'God Save The Queen' is the longest continuous Queen 'played' track.....
unless one gets nit picky because it was not played due to time constraints.
As to being performed, that would go to 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. 'Brighton Rock' was not part of the ANATO tour set list at the beginning.....
or, because a concert was cut short midstream, neither was played. KYA was the most 'original' band members tune played, but Q+whoever throws it all out of whack.
The 'longest' song is 'Brighton Rock'. Nothing else comes close.
Once again, I played, I'm playing, but be specific in your questions, or just go to queenconcerts.com
Also what wpuld have to be THE most enduring/stood the test of time song. For example.. I felt bohem rhaps was starting to show its age during magic, one would have to ask if Freddie or the band got a little tired after playing non stop from the beginning but being a fan fav/the song that really launched their careers.... Felt keep yourself alive kept it's age... Somebody to love was an enduring song, felt like a more of a fun song for Freddie to play and inject enthusiasm into it more...
Not nit picking at all trying to get the intellectual thoughts on a topic going through some many brainless questions and topics out there.
God save the queen definitely has to be non stop... the longest going queen song
