Having listened to their cover of this on a number of official releases (but not listened to many bootlegs), it's interesting that Freddie tends to blur the "man" of distinction. Presumably keeping it intentionally ambiguous?

I believe that. Seriously, with the exception of Wembley, golders green and a few others, he always sang that line and "every guy I see" without genders. Not to mention how he didn't always pronounce the r cork...

yes I dont pop my cock for every guy I see hahaha ...Deliberately Freddie
Excellent cover, fit Freddie's voice and style. They should of released a covers album. They performed other artists material well. It worked out for Guns n Roses and Metallica. I think a studio verson of Big Spender, Jailhouse Rock among others in the early 80's instead of Hot Space would of been a good move.
One of my favourite covers that they did on stage. So heavy and such a raucous vocal from Freddie. And love his loose and suggestive pronunciation of 'pop my cork', as others have said.
The early-period live R&R medley was cool, especially Big Spender and Jailhouse Rock.
As I've listed below, I guess you could put together your own compilation of studio-version cover songs done by Queen members or Queen+. I've ignored the Kerry Ellis covers as I can't stand them! :p
All the way from Memphis
Runaway
Masters of War
Only Make Believe
Racing in the Street
Working Class Hero
Foxy Lady
Rollin' Over
Hot Patootie
Maybe Baby
F.B.I.
Must admit, the list doesn't exactly make me clamour for more covers, especially now Lambert is lead singer.
