I hardly ever listened to the original album. Because to me the dialogue was very annoying. With this edit version I tend to listen to it more and quite like it. It's more sort of a Queen concept EP, instead of an soundtrack/soundscape from a movie.
Some edits where a compromise. It was very tricky to do. I had to make some awkward edits. On the other hand there were already some awkward edits in the original album. The general idea was to make it a listenable music album for my self again.
Overall I think that is what it is now. I put a lot of effort in it. Thanks for the compliments. Really appreciated!
Thanks for the compliments!
Almost 500 downloads (mp3 and lossless). Wow! That's a great figure.
I hope it gives a new perspective on the Flash Gordon album.
Enjoy everyone!

thanks for this, dear Ale ! brilliant stuff as usual! It'd be great if an alternative FG OST was officially released like this, some day.
Gracias Marc! I don't think it's reliable to re release a re worked Flash Gordon OST and really doubt it would ever happen but it would be nice to see something like that ;)
Interesting edit for this Album! thank you very much for sharing it, i can't wait to enjoy your work.
ANd Thank You Ale, your talent here is always appreciated! Flashtastic covers!
To Ale Solan:
Amazing artwork! Together with my edit this is an outstanding fan release. But most of all credits to our boys of course, Freddie, John, Roger and Brian, QUEEN!
Hi CMI,
I'm an admirer of you work (Expanded Versions)!
Do you think it's possible to give this edit version of the Flash Gordon album the same treatment?
Having asked this, a big thank you is appropriate for you remastering work so far! I think they are the best versions. The sound is amazing!
First of all, thanks for kind words... I was surprised to see here a message to me :)
Actually I never had a problem with dialogues feature in the original soundtrack. I think it's an excellent addition to the soundtrack album.
But of course it will be great if the whole thing will be officially remixed sometime in the future without dialogues and movie sounds as alternative.
When recently I worked on Flash Gordon - Expanded Collection, I decided to create complete motion picture soundtrack merging Queen's soundtrack and Howard Blake's orchestral score into one thing.
But that will be sometime in the future and not as part of this Expanded Collection project.
To CMI:
All your Expanded versions are amazing! The best versions of Queen records ever. A big thank you is in order!
I just listened to your Hot Space (Expanded Version). Outstanding! It brings this album on a higher level!
So I still hope you will give my edit version of Flash Gordon the same treatment?
Thanks CMI, you have my admiration!
Cheers, FIA
Maybe someone is interested....
It's been a while since this was on the first page.
There was a post recently of Flash (single) without movie dialogue. I think combine the two is a good idea.
Cheers!
