Still $70NZD. I feel it's too expensive. |
Fastidious and Precise 22.05.2017 16:09 |
I admit it's still expensive but less expensive. I'm treating myself as I recently gave up cigarettes so I have a little extra cash. |

Recently I picked up stuff from two collectors for free or a real small amount of money( seen in relation). The Horse is almost dead :( |

"They are loosing their fanbase here day by day ;) " I agree but I don't think they care, at least it seems that way..... |

But is the OWL stereoscope included ? Or do we have to buy it separately ? |
Woody43 23.05.2017 16:34 |
Hi All of brians stereoscopic books come with an owl - it will be included. |

Book Depository is reliable for a sending out of United Kingdom? I mean, for a big and hard book like this one, it is safe in arriving as new? |
MercurialFreddie 24.05.2017 06:35 |
I once ordered a book from them (I live in Poland) and it came without any scratches, generally in excellent condition BUT they ship internationally via AirMail / Royal Airmail and you cannot track the package. They can only tell you if they already shipped it to you. The second problem is that you don't exactly know who (which courier, that is) will be handling the package on the territory of your country. For example, when it comes to Poland, the GLS courier handles those packages and they are terrible because if the package has the comfortable size for them then they put it into your mailbox and that's it but if it's too big then I've heard that they once left the package on the doorstep or on the ground at the entrance to a building! |

Now I ordered my Queen in 3-D! |

This book can be, maybe, the best launchment from Queen in the last, erm, 5 years? I am referring to a non musical product. |

Mine has just arrived and I must say it's wonderful seeing the old shots of the band recording, relaxing and touring, a great book and the 3D really brings the band close, you do feel much more part of teh experience. Some wonderful shots in there |
alberbal12 26.05.2017 09:52 |
Amazing, waiting mine too. Yesterday some changes happened in Book Depository web: in the morning it was listed in 37 euro, at night in 60 and today is not stock! Fortunately i bought mine for 37! |
cmsdrums 26.05.2017 12:24 |
Just received mine - first proof reading error spotted is the incorrect spelling of Max von Sydow (in the book as Max von Sidow)! |
popy 26.05.2017 18:00 |
I am interested in buyind the book, but i'm afraid that i won't be able to take advantage of 3D so if anyone cares to answer about my doubts i'll be grateful. Maybe it's because i don't try enough and give up easily, but i can't see 3D presented on side-by-side fashion. Even those Magic Eye things... Seeing that the book is side-by-side 3D to view with the OWL, will i be able to see the 3D effect because i'm using the OWL? Also the OWL have lenses, do they make the pictures bigger? |

Brian created it so that we can see 3D without having to resort to the old fashioned eye tricks. |
dysan 28.05.2017 03:24 |
Some great shots in here. Has anyone located Brian with his stereoscopic camera in any previously known shots of the band? |
cmsdrums 28.05.2017 12:22 |
The OWL does magnify doesn't it? Look at your fingers under it!!! |
cmsdrums 28.05.2017 12:27 |
In the section with pics from The Works Tour, Brian references the 'Hammer To Fall' video being filmed in Brussels, during the live show and "during soundcheck". I don't think this is correct as I thought it was fairly common knowledge that they set up a separate shoot for some of the video filming, asking fans to attend? Does Brian really think that they would be dressed in full stage costumes, full make up, full light show and have a full film crew on stage filming loads of close ups, just in a soundcheck? Yet again, proof reading/fact checking simply not being bothered with??? |

I also cannot 'do' freeview viewing of magic eye and 3D pics, but have bought the book and have no issues with this - the pics are stunning! |

Got my copy from the Book Depository and it's rather good :) Quick note - The Book D.'s packaging was very lax, and it's picked up a big ding on the corner. Still wondering if I should complain to them or not. There are a great deal of pictures in this book which are very interesting to see. And the three-dimensional element is fascinating. I only skimmed the later content as I would like to leave some surprises when I get there! I've only read through the first 15 or so pages, but, it appears to be a nice book which I'm sure I'll be reading through for the next month or so. I ain't a fast reader! :P |

Make sure you also tell them the packaging was insufficient. |

I was hesitant to get the book because I normally don't do well with anything that strains the eyes, and 3D anything would give me a headache. I bought it anyway, partially because I remember Brian May saying that it won't give you headaches. Well, after looking at 10 pictures or so, my eyes hurt and I don't feel well. BUT I can still enjoy the pictures with the naked eye (without the 3D effect), and Brian has written a lot for this book, so I'd say it's well worth the purchase if you're a Queen fan. I thought it'd be a quick read with simple captions for the photos, but I was wrong. Just thought I'd mention that in case anyone else can't do 3D stuff and is wondering whether to go for it. |
