The Queen story would be very different without Bowie. His TOTP cancelation led to their debut performing SSOR. Their first major tours with Mott The Hoople wouldn't have happened had Bowie not got MTH back together and given them their first hit single. |

Load of bull and you know it! There's already a Bowie thread in Personal Discussion. Why on Earth do we need another one in here? The opening post doesn't really justify it imho. |

Both of those things happened, and both were pivotal in Queen's early years. "So sad. Under pressure will be ringing out in heaven this morning." could have easily been posted in one of the other Bowie-posts and you know it. It's just asking for attention. A good example is the "Tenement Funster - Bowie connection" thread, which i understand needed it's own thread and has a definite Queen-connection. |

If this place was moderated it would've been fixed in hours, so let's not blame the members for doing as they please when there's nothing stopping them. |

This is exactly what is wrong with this board (and most other Queen related pages for that matter). LACK OF SELF-MODERATION. Take some respons=ibility for fuck's sake! People have been online for 20 years, but act like stupid kids when it comes to communicating on social media and messageboards. Using a death of a celebrity to get attention is pathetic. I mean really? Criticism is hard to take i guess. Enjoy the attention you're getting with your stupid thread. :) |

/ \ . I'd save your breath mate, seems like a sort of Queen Nazi, he doesn't appreciate any flexibility or a nod towards another artist, moreover, one who was so important to Queen and was part of the same historic era in music. |

I just read where Montserrat Caballé had some tax problems a couple of months ago, and that.... oops, sorry, guess that should go in the 'Personal' section. Or did I see it in this part? Whatever. My bad. I won't comment about being so grateful that Bowie had such a hand with 'All The Young Dudes'. If I did comment, I would say that I might not have seen Steven Tyler and Freddie Mercury on the same stage 40+ years ago. But I won't comment here. |
