I was wondering, in the olden days, like before colour TV was invented, was Facebook in black and white? Maybe someone who lived in the era can shed some light.
You might think that's a pretty absurd joke to crack, but, working with children in a museum about regional history, I honestly get questions like that. For instance, many kids who understand that people didn't eat pizza or Chinese food in the 19th century because they didn't know about it yet, cannot imagine that cell phones didn't exist.
It was more of a local thing, with messages being hand delivered. If desired, we did manage to add color to what the messages were carved in.
But carrying around those stone tablets was a b*tch!
