Do you enjoy singing some of your favourite songs even though you can't sing (like me)?
Well, I do. Sometimes.
Creep by Radiohead (below) - I think this one turned out fairly decent for my low standarts, so thought I'd share it. Maybe you could share some of your recordings in this thread.
.
Any time I hear "Elton John" and "karaoke" in the same sentence.......reminds me of a rather, uh, interesting rendition of Circle Of Life I heard about a year or so ago........
Gregsynth would know what I'm talking about....lol
btw, the only time I'll ever do karaoke is when I'm pretty much drunk (possibly the problem with the Circle of Life guy too....)
A while back I'd gotten into a gig hosting karaoke at a tavern.
I'll contribute once I find a proper way to record. Sorry folks. They may be mp3 NOT FLAC
For the record. .. the BEST karaoke will always be BAD KARAOKE.
Someone really trying it with all their might and will. But doing horribly and having fun.
On the other hand. .. terrible singers who love to sing songs and BELIEVE they are great. ... On the other hand. ..... that's one of the most torturous experiences.
(Hence the repetition, after hearing them you'd like to strangle them with both hands)
It does take guts though. That was a pretty good version. I'll take it you recorded it at home?

And there was always the Macho Hulk on TYMD.......lol
I think I lost that whole karaoke collection when my old laptop bit the dust....
And yeah, that wasnt bad at all, Chief Mouse! Just now finally listened to that out of curiosity....I've certainly heard much worse, on this very site, in fact....lol
You kinda sound like Axl Rose at times........anyone else hearing that or I am crazy?
Just curious. .. how is everybody recording this stuff?
I'm in the dark ages of analogue mixing boards.
Years from now, QUEENZONE will be the only vestigial remembrance of culture after all other records have been destroyed on all mechanized servers doing an audit for imperfections.
Queenzone still will survive ironically for its amazing amount of SPAM and garbage. ... it will be overlooked and kept in question when the terminal SYSTEM cannot understand what is necessary in penis enhancement and passports.
This quandary will save the popular works of queen and humanity by the fact that the benevolent and all controlling system WOULDN'T destroy it's trash folder/recycle bin.
Sing for the future! The world belongs to YOU!
delusionally/sarcastically yours,
Me
^ A dynamic mic plugged into a PC via XLR -> USB cable. Only that it introduces some hiss which I have to remove afterwards. A crap solution but a solution :D
I have just bought an interface (within the last year) for recording into my laptop. Before that, everything was captured on a cheap £9 mic and a mic lead with a 3.5mm jack taped on.
Only when I bought this thing did I realise how much better everything I have tried to record sounds. Good volume, no extraneous noise, hiss etc...
It actually allows differing tones when recording a small amp across the speaker cone. You can hear it now thru headphones unlike before. I opted for a cheap Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 unit. 2 mics in and 2 outs. Vocals, guitars etc...brilliant!!! ( I use it for some guitar tutorials due to it allowing me to record 2 mics at once. 1 guitar and 1 narration. Not expensive but I'd seriously recommend a similar item.
It's my dream to create a Karaoke version of "Hulkster in Heaven" complete with graphics. Maybe I could do a great presentation and get it selected by his Licensing company..... not to be a complete *** but, if TIMED properly it could become an internet sensation and therefore a cultural sensation when Terry Hogan croaks.
imagine it. HASHTAG #HULKSTERINHEAVEN
I'm just the golden goose....
sucks for Hogan that Randy Savage did a better album than him link
