I've got to admit I've BARELY been a contributor to this site. Only a few news posts and a couple of live photos. Some yet unscanned but pitiful photos from a QUEEN walk of fame induction ceremony in Hollyweird but. ... this place is an INCREDIBLE source of information AND resources.
Leaving just THAT aside, so many people willingly show their passion and love for the band by sharing their own self represented issues, recordings, tapings , artwork etc. . It's unprecedented I'd think.
AND for a consistent ONLINE page I think this place oughta merit some consideration from GUINNESS somehow.
It's absurd that it does have occasional bombardments by TTREASURE TROLLS and the occasional bombardment by FAKE I.D. things and such but the site is an incredible RESOURCE for anyone actually looking to do RESEARCH on the band *(if anyone was actually inclined to) ... a collegiate course at the seat of your lap.
Anyways someone oughta consult GUINNESS and see if this place merits consideration in publishing (*as long as the printed word exists)
But my real question is. ... ARE THERE COMPARABLE FANSITES that feature such in depth inquiries and scrutiny?
I know Zeppelin had a disparate output and many tapers during their days but are there any other comparable sites featuring the CONTENT, DISCUSSION as DEPTH of Queenzone?
Where else could someone find authorities on live recordings and incidents at different concerts?
News clippings AND the like?
It may sound absurd but I'm a huge fan of Eurythmics and Judas Priest but I don't believe there's anything comparable out there that meets such criteria.
Is it merely a quality among Queen fans?
What's the longest running fansite out there that boasts the same community?
Would it be the BACKSTREET BOYS/NSYNC????
BRITNEY SPEARS? ?
AND if so. ... do THEY boast any credibility about garnering such a comprehensive catalogue?
Zappateers, Genesis Movement, Yeeshkul, etc.
All the major bands have dedicated fan forums that dig deep. Those three in particular are pretty outstanding.
