- Not to confuse with another upload of mine - the enhancement of LQ UK TV report which you can find here - http://www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1396003.html - Okay. Here we go. Sorry about the voiceover during the interview parts. I hope you can make out some of what they're saying :-) The quality is not flawless as it was sourced from very compressed files that I got a hold of. I enhanced it a bit and put together, so what you're watching is a montage. I hope some of this stuff is unseen to some of you. Enjoy! https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/1ee0/1v084cavueke31r7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/5d91/6boxmd10574kvgv7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/95f4/b3j3priaffh3m6p7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://mega.co.nz/#!jEFHjLhY!5fXyxsqDnifpSlAjNHNBSbKd7Eh5QnQW5xgAmvuMMPY And and youtube as well - . |

Many thanks. Can I just ask if this is actually a 'Wembley soundcheck' - ie that is the stage in Wembley on, presumably, the evening of 10th July 86? As it is dark it has to be night, and would they really be sound-checking at night as opposed to earlier in the day? Whilst it's difficult to tell where the state is set up, it looks like it could be a soundstage somewhere, an so this is not strictly a 'Wembley soundcheck'?? |

As far as I know, it is set up in a studio. I assume it was soundcheck for Wembley gigs. No, it's not strictly a "Wembley soundcheck", but I have honestly no better idea how to name it then. |
cmsdrums 04.01.2015 05:42 |
I've just noticed that the titles on the clip say "Juin 86"; does that mean June, and if so how can this be a Wembley soundcheck?? Surely it's a soundcheck at another venue or even just a general tour production run through?? |
Chief Mouse 04.01.2015 05:55 |
Ok, you got me to rename the title. Anyway, this was the file description - "The English group of rock Queen An European tour(round) is going to begin(undertake). - Rehearsal(repetition) of Queen In a studio of Wembley. Effects of lighting on stage." Hence the Wembley title, I was wrong about the Wembley concerts though. Remembered incorrectly. Either way, I think the new title will not cause misunderstanding. |

Looks great as usual. Is there any audio available without the French that can be synched? |
Rami 04.01.2015 07:05 |
Great! Thank you very much. |

Nice one - cheers! I wasn't trying to be awkward, but you know what the Internet is like; in ten years time there would be people claiming absolutely 100% that this took place at Wembley Stadium! :-) |

Here's something for those who don 't understand French. I used Subtitle Workshop to make my own English subtitles for all the dubbed parts of the video. (So it's not a transcription of the interviews). Please bare in mind that the translations and timings are not 100% accurate. Hope this is helpful. |

What's very revealing is they're still running bits of In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited, since it's the one old song they hadn't played in ages. Considering they rehearsed for weeks and still weren't confident with ONE new old song should provide significant insight into how hard-wired these guys were and how hard they needed to rehearse to be a functioning band (also recall them rehearsing White Queen at soundcheck countless times on 5-12-78 so they could play it the next night). Furthermore - the One Vision intro tape hasn't had the two extra bars added to the end, and Brian is playing the main riff a bit differently than he would throughout the whole tour. This is pre tour, 100%. |

Chief Mouse 05.01.2015 11:29 |
Yes, lovely post Wizard! Nitroboy, at least we have the guitar intro live. I have no idea why French TV decided to dub it with the studio version. |
Jeremy 05.01.2015 12:45 |
Possibly because Freddie isn't singing full out. You can barely hear him in conserving-his-voice-for-the-actual-shows mode before the album overdub starts. The bonus Magic tour rehearsals on the Wembley dvd do have him going in a more full on vocal mode, though. Longtime lurker. here...thanks much for this! :-) |

Nitroboy wrote: Do you know if the rehearsal footage included on the Wembley DVDs are truly from Wembley, or if that is another mislabeling?Without a doubt it's the same tech rehearsals in early June, but perhaps a different day? They're clearly in a rehearsal space, not in Wembley Stadium. And even though they had a day off after the Newcastle show, there's not a chance they set up their rig in an entirely different place when their crew had to carve out an end of the stadium to fit their stage into. Nor would the band need to rehearse when they're well into their stride a month into the tour. And finally - look at how short Deacon's hair is in the footage. It's definitely long before Wembley. |

Thank you Chief for the nice video, Wizard for the keen observation and HyperBoy for the subs (though I don't really need subs~ next time if you guys need any French translation for Queen's stuff I might give a hand). I like how hard they practised. They totally deserve their success. |
