I certainly hope so, but every statement is so vague. |
MrFunster 21.11.2014 04:57 |
The next album is no compilation album, so some new unreleased tracks might be true.....YEZ |
mooghead 21.11.2014 05:23 |
And so it goes on............ |
brians wig 21.11.2014 05:40 |
I hope he's not involved. He can't even master TMBMTLTT without distortion. |
andyb1968 21.11.2014 05:51 |
Didn't the conversation for QF start like this two years or so ago ? Nobody get excited. |
pittrek 21.11.2014 07:04 |
3. The album was planned for Christmas 2011 |
the dude 1366 21.11.2014 08:09 |
Anyone upset with the sound needs to search "loudness war". Many times when people don't like the sound it has so much to do with the extremely loud and terrible mastering. This is why people talk of early pressings of albums sounding better |
jondickens1 21.11.2014 08:17 |
He only says he's working on Queens next project which will include more previously unheard tracks. That suggests yet another compilation to me. But, on the plus side at least we'll be getting more unreleased stuff. |
MrFunster 21.11.2014 10:44 |
I have heard the next release is not a compilation. |
jondickens1 21.11.2014 10:51 |
Where have you heard this Mr Funster? Also does anyone what tracks are being considered for work on? I've heard Sail away sweet sister is one?! |
andyb1968 21.11.2014 11:40 |
Greg brooks mentioned that sail away sweet sister was being looked at, along with a few other tracks, my guess QF2 ! |

Odds Outcome 4/6 - another fucking compilation evens - another compilation with TWO reworked unfinished Freddie tracks 3/1 - a re-released live album 9/2 - some more deluxe albums with bonus materials cds of five tracks we alll aready have 10/1 - an album of completely new queen tracks with Adam Lambert on vocals 150/1 - album of all unfinished tracks - all reworked by Bri/Rog |
andyb1968 21.11.2014 13:41 |
The bets are off !!!! |
Heavenite 21.11.2014 18:32 |
150/1 is lousy odds Brenski! ....lol! And you've got a price for QF2 on there, but what about MIH2? Or is that what you mean by a compilation album with two reworked unfinished Freddie tracks? I mean according to them, MIH and those three songs on QF2 are all new Queen material! |
andyb1968 22.11.2014 04:03 |
I guess they're still looking to get state of shock & victory out , so that could take another 3 years of negotiations with the Jackson estate ! Not that I'm that bothered. |
Ivo-1976 22.11.2014 04:18 |
Uhm...Greatest Video Hits 3? |
MrFunster 22.11.2014 06:10 |
No, I don't think Queen is that stupid to wait again 3 years. They might release the Freddie only version. Sounds like a good idea. Also TMBMTLTT should be released as a Freddie only version. Furthermore, they can release man on fire (like they showed on queenonline) and man made paradise. Plus some other reworked tracks like sail away sweet sister and spread your wings. |
matt z 22.11.2014 06:37 |
Just sucks that Orbit is attached to this suggested newer release. What is there to be expected? Remix with newly recorded variations of TIME MAN MADE PARADISE MR BAD GUY FOOLIN AROUND and ROBBERY All done to disco? Two years later. ...a Roger demo newly completed? Jesus. Oh well. I hope for the best. Expect the least. Not having TMBMTLTT as a standalone Brian + Roger release is just erroneous. Dunno wtf they're thinking. It's someone at the label pulling these strings or does orbit really have connections to Roger and the two feel that his work here is plausible? Absurd stuff. Damn. |
andyb1968 22.11.2014 11:37 |
Jesus ? Is Orbit remixing that ?!!!!!!!! |
seagull 22.11.2014 14:32 |
I wish they would release the Rainbow gig and blow away all our expectations. Oh, hold on, they just did that. If fans are unhappy just a few months after such an amazing release, then they can never be pleased. Kick back and take another listen to Rainbow. |
andyb1968 22.11.2014 16:14 |
Agreed seagull, I think most of us are just pissed by the broken promises of QF ! But your right rainbow is outstanding, fingers crossed for more of the same. |
matt z 22.11.2014 18:15 |
andyb1968 wrote: Jesus ? Is Orbit remixing that ?!!!!!!!!No. I'm just being bitchy. A sarcastic ' WHAT NEXT? "! ESPECIALLY IF orbit is attached to work on future releases. |
tomchristie22 22.11.2014 18:21 |
I don't understand why they've signed him on to do more - Brian and Roger said, albeit in a vague way, that they were dissatisfied with his mix of There Must Be More to Life Than This, and if they'd had it their way they would've used their own. |
Heavenite 23.11.2014 02:18 |
Could be to do more Jacko stuff maybe. I mean the Jacko estate might want him! Plus he's famous of course. |

But your right rainbow is outstanding, fingers crossed for more of the same. But were they broken promises or did we not understand what they meant and read too much into it? I mean Brian was saying we were getting a compilation album from a long way out. Except I think we thought the 3 new songs he was talking about were like the three new tracks on Made in Heaven. Completely unheard! Whereas they were more like the rest of the tracks on MIH and were reworkings. |
The King Of Rhye 23.11.2014 11:37 |
I'd be quite happy if MIH2 ever happened............theres at least an albums worth of stuff that could be reworked, or unearthed..............like was said in this topic, Man On Fire, Man Made Paradise.....some of the Miracle/Innuendo-era demos that are floating around........also, I swear I heard a while ago that there was a Queen version of New Dark Ages............or maybe that was just a rumor????? Now THAT would be awesome............... |
tomchristie22 23.11.2014 19:43 |
But would a MIH2 really be that good at this stage? Brian, John and Roger were still creatively and musically brilliant in 1995. Listening to the guitar and drum work on 2014's Love Kills, I really don't think an album of reworked material in the same vein would be a good thing. |
Makka 23.11.2014 23:16 |
I'd rather William Orbit just stayed away from the songs. I wasn't impressed with his mix of Let Me In Your Heart Again at all. Why didn't they push the original version more? As for There Must Be More To Life Than This, I didn't like it at all. |

So I would think that means that there would be unheard of Freddie vocals. That might well get us in! |

I bet on the Hammersmith Odeon '75 release for Xmas 2015! It's the 40th anniversary and a few tracks from it had already been released. Also, they have the video with very good quality (not entirely though). |
