Doesn't even sound like him drumming.
I think it's a blend of programmed drums with live drums. Without seeing more (clearer!) footage of Roger, I can only assume he's gone for a tom-oriented beat.
Well from the looks of it he certainly recorded the track on the kit. However with different producers any musician sounds very different from there norm. Just listen to the Orbit mix... EQ is both a wonderful and terrible thing...

They probably went as far as triggering his drums and put those funky samples on there instead.
That's very possible too! For that rush mix job they did, it's sadly easier to mix to samples than it would just live acoustic drums (which from experience I can tell CAN take a long time to balance, EQ, etc to get it "sounding right")
According to this wikipedia page, Roger plays everything on the song.... link
Highly doubt that, though but wouldn't surprise me as he's the only person involved that has any kind of "proper" musical talent.
Quite nice to see some snippets from Rog in there, but would be even greater if we could hear him sing. Think his voice could fitted quite well in a small segment.
On a side note, I think this version is better than the Band Aid 20 version.
I personally like the '20' version more, even if it sounds tad pretentious at first. I'm quite disappointed with 1D singing the opening line unison rather than going for multi-part harmony. Ed Sheeran = Oh, wow!

Yeah, the previous ones seem better than this one. The '04 version has a lot of musicians in it which makes it great and the original from '84 is good because of Phil Collins' work and the vocals as well.
I feel personally that Band Aid 30 was rushed I think because of the whole X Factor debut thing they organised. I really hope it will be remastered or remixed with Roger's actual drumming track in there!
