I would love to hear a piano version of las palabras and its a hard life?....fingers crossed
Product Description
Queen present Forever, an exciting album featuring three brand new Queen tracks, including the long-anticipated track by Queen and Michael Jackson, "There Must Be More To Life Than This". The rest of the package brings together Queen hits, classic tracks, and new takes on well-known songs. The tracks are all linked to represent a definitive collection of Queen’s timeless love songs, and celebrate the extraordinary musical path of one of the world’s greatest rock bands. This standard version of the release comes packed with 20 songs and a 16-page booklet.
I was about to post something along the same lines.....the press release is very specific about "new takes on well known songs", yet there as no mention on the radio interview today of this, and nothing else in the press release to elaborate. If they have re-recorded or remixed some of the other tracks then I can't believe they wouldn't be using that as a major selling point alongside the new tracks. I hope to be pleasantly suprised by some reworkings, but I fear that the press release, as is always the case with Queen, is simply lying.
Having heard the new songs, I say that Brian & Roger should leave well alone.
They seem to want to overproduce stuff these days. I'm saddened that even "Let Me In" has too much 'music' going on.
It really needed to be "simple" like the Anita Dobson version. Would love to hear it as it was originally recorded.
