I wonder if this new release is a combination of both November shows. I see some repeats from the Box of Tricks version but differences as well. For example, Brian May's "young Murc" comment before ITLOTG Revisited is different than what's on the Box of Tricks release. I pulled up both tracks in Audacity and compared parts of the song. But the beginning, Procession and Now I'm Here is the same on this release as the Box Of Tricks. There are others as well. So of this a combination of both Nov shows?

I'm pretty sure it was stated that it uses both nights by QPL. There's little way to tell what comes from which night, but it's safe to say it's a conglomeration of both.
I don't have it yet (it should arrive on Tuesday, fingers crossed), but it's definitely from 2 nights. At least there is one spot where the audio and video are from different nights in Lap Of The Gods.
I plan to put a series of comparison videos on youtube as soon as I get my copy.
Sorry guys.... wasn't aware that it's been stated "thousands of times". Haven't had times to read the numerous articles about it. Obviously, if I would have known, I wouldn't have asked. But much appreciative for the answer anyways.

That bit is SO annoying - why take the video from one night and mix with audio of another? Considering Brian moaned on his site about Saul Swimmer doing that with the original Montreal release too!!

'I put music into a sound programme to look at the differences between releases' wanker alert!
Got the Super Deluxe set last night and what a treat! I can't help but believe (maybe this has been confirmed?) the show has different video and audio from a different night than the version I and am sure everyone else has had for years (Box of Tricks).
In the older Rainbow release there were points in the show where the audio and video did not match up....March of the Black Queen, In the Lap of the Gods to name a couple...but there were definitely moments that were different from that show. The only audio/video moment that didn't sync up - which I believe was the same as the previous release - is during In The Lap of the Gods when it shows Roger both drumming and singing his high "aahhhhhh" part, what he drums doesn't match up with the audio.
But hell, what an amazing release!
