normally removed from concerts by TV / filming companies? I’ve seen it a few times, the intro is normally removed from concert videos. |

When did this happen? The only time I know was at Hammersmith Odeon 75, and that was because of the damaged master tape (at least that was the official story) |

Didn't that happen with the Montreal 81 ("We Will Rock You") video? On the commentary to the Rock Montreal video, Brian and/or Roger said the first few seconds were put back in............. |

But I think you mean Rock Montreal 2007 release because "We Will Rock You" features the cut intro of Now I'm Here. I think Brian said "chaps" had to fill in the gap and they did it great. |

Well Montreal is a possibility, I never managed to watch the shit till the end. BTW didn't one of the Japan 82 releases miss a bit of the song too? Boy, I should really watch the 80's recordings again |

Japan 82 (the Version on the "on fire DVD" has it patched together with footage from other parts of the show ALA Montreal) Montreal 81 Hammy 75 The VH1 version of "at the MK bowl". I'm 99% there is at least one more too, but i can't remember it. |

Lol........The King Of Rhye wrote: Didn't that happen with the Montreal 81 ("We Will Rock You") video? Also, something kinda similar.........I seem to recall that the "Live At Wembley Stadium" released featured the last few seconds of Tutti Frutti that was missing on "Live At Wembley '86"! |

Dear Pittreik could you please just tell me what is Shit about Montreal ? Are you talking about the whole show ? Now i'm here ? The mix or transfer ? Or do you just say these things out of boredom ? Please tell us mere mortels what is wrong, i do notice that you have nearly made 9,000 comments so you must be a real big fan or maybe not. Please enlighten us.Can't wait to see what you find wrong with Queen at the Rainbow. |

I was never a fan of Brian's concert solos. There are a few bootleg exceptions, where he delivers a really good work, but in 90% cases it is a skip button. I probably missed Elvis dancing on stage and alien life making first contact, which must have happened during those 10 minutes, but oh well... skip to the next song. |

Brian's concert solos are all boring. He's pretty average at solos. Not exactly a Jimi Hendrix. |

The Budapest release has a similar colour problem, my eyes simply can't take it. Yes, I'm a fan of Queen. That doesn't mean I have to like EVERYTHING they release, does it? The only thing I don't like about Rainbow is that they're mixing 2 concerts together and converting them to NTSC instead of releasing them separately and in PAL. Why ? |

Pittrek, I never noticed the colour thing on Montreal and Hungarian Rhapsody... now its all I can think about!!! I do quite like the over saturation, gaudy and over the top :) Did I read somewhere that the blu ray is less of an issue than the DVD? |

Bad editing can't be fixed, but I find a little software can work miracles on the colours. You can't fix everything, but improvement is a definite option. |

On the other hand, we are getting two FULL early seventies concerts on CD, including a track we thought was never performed live.Indeed. And I'm VERY excited about that part and very happy about this release - the March concert is definitely one of my favourite Queen concerts of all time! |

They are very well known to intentionally damage their releases and call it "remastering" and colour "correction". I don't know if they think it will look more "modern" or what, or if they're simply colourblind, but some people including me are very sensitive to unnatural colours. That's why I'm unable to watch any post 1997 release of the Star Wars movies (not only because of the changes, but mainly because of the f*** up colours), or the "green" Matrix transfers etc. |
