Hi, I' have a source that says Queen were so estranged in a way that their "on stage" behavior between each other was regulated by a contract ? My informations pointing me in the direction that this must have happend in the early 80's maybe in their time here in Munich ( wich we know that Brian didn't like the time here)
Is sombody in knowledge about that contract and what was included exactly ?
I will refuse my source for a while - maybe I can get more out of it - or is it just a rumour ?

what happened to bring them to do such thing?
Either John beeing uncomfortable when Freddie was approching him with his sexually charged body language
or
pretending they were a gang of friends on stage altough as the OP said "Queen were so estranged in a way" at that point. Well, hating each others guts as been said by Fred.

That could easily have been a bit of hyperbole.
Plenty of bands go through the motions. To this day The Eagles fly in on separate jets. Same goes for Motley Crue. They interact on stage and only on stage. It's all business.
I highly doubt any of these bands would be unprofessional enough to require paperwork to be a visually functioning band on stage.
I believe Gene Simmons of KISS has his own bus he'll travel on between shows. It's been rumored and even written in Ace Frehley's book that Simmons' relationship with Paul Stanley is somewhat strained after 40 years together. Can't say I blame the Starchild...
I doubt it. I'm sure they had a lot of written rules for songwriting and all that but if they have done something like that for their stage show, they would surely show it on their last tours and they improvised freely a lot during the magic tour. They certainly looked having fun on stage. A special "behavior contract" would have been damaging in that aspect and we would have seen quite awkward shows.
I was a bit hastily in the original post...the source say that the contract/agreement was just temporarily active . That's why I think it was in the early eighties and counts for their period in Munich.( it would fit perfect because of Queen's and Macks statements/interviews about that period)
And it wasn't necessarily a bare-knuckle business contract. Maybe they were in studio or they had a show and something went wrong, and one of them go crazy about it.Perhaps Roger was upset about Brian's behavior and before things were about to be going too unpleasent- Freddie comes into play and offers them the idea of a contract/ agreement. And later they recoil from that piece of paper because they get along with each other again. Well - guesswork of course...
It's very common for therapists and psychologists to suggest the idea of a 'contract' amongst conflicting parties (e.g., parents and children, a marriage, even a contract with oneself in case of an anger management programme or an addiction rehab), so it would make perfect sense for them to put that in written especially if they ever considered counselling.
