Apparently some band called 'Fun' will perform with Bri and Rog tonight doing STL and FBG;s. Never heard of them myself, but I'm an old fart. They are on the iHeart lineup and have done RGG live in a pub when everyone was ordering John Smiths I think cos I couldn't hear anyone listening to them. Are they a relatively popular beat combo in the good old USA?
Rather they did something with Katy Perry or Elton John, who also plays the same night.
I agree. Matt Bellamy from Muse is by far a better choice than Fun.
For some reason Fun is one of those bands that got a bump into popularity for their song 'We Are Young' being performed on Glee. Yet, for that same reason they've been considered very uncool.
As far as the performance. Adam Lambert nailed it, but that dude from Fun doesn't have the range for 'Somebody To Love'.

I guess Fun ain't the worst choice, but how about Matthew Bellamy? I'd be really interested in hearing him singing some of Queen stuff.
But why would he do that?
He is in an excellent band already.

I mean one-off occasion in which he would sing Innuendo for example, would be cool wouldn't it. I'd just like hearing him singing a Queen tune.
Fun joined up last night for Somebody to Love and Fat Bottomed Girls. They brought alot of positive energy to the set and sang on their own and with Adam. Fun lead singer worked the stage and crowd like an animal! He was quite pleased with himself and should be. Lucky Las Vegas!
Just saw the performance of Queen and Adam Lambert from the IHeartRadio show.
Brian and Roger are phenomenal as Always. Great show. And I think Adam Lambert is doing a great job in performing the Queen songs in his own way. Compliments for him.
I never liked the Fun singer, because I think he cannot sing. Some songs of Fun are nice to hear but for me he just cannot sing, and with Somebody To Love he proved this again.
He is more shouting than singing, but that is my opinion.
But for me it's Always a thrill to see Roger and Brian do the Queen material live on stage. And again... Adam makes a nice show.

True Rien... the poor guy really tried his best but struggled to hit the high notes. Adam voice seems to connect much better to Queen songs in the orginal key.
I'd have more sympathy if he was a talented singer who just struggled with some of the higher stuff or the live setting.
But no. That was tear-jerkingly ordinary and a pain to listen to.
I read that the Fun guy has been having vocal problems. They cancelled a concert recently because of it. I assume that's why he was so breathy and shouty when he sang.
