ROGER TAYLOR - NEW ALBUM ‘FUN ON EARTH’ AND COMPLETE BACK CATALOGUE ‘THE LOT’ DUE FOR RELEASE IN OCTOBER A MUST HAVE FOR ALL ROCK’N’ROLL FANS, ‘THE LOT’ IS A SPECIAL BOX SET SPANNING THE CAREER OF ONE OF BRITAIN’S MOST SUCCESSFUL ROCK STARS EVER Roger Taylor, legendary rock icon and full-throttle drumming powerhouse, has confirmed the release of his fifth studio album ‘Fun On Earth’ in October alongside ‘The Lot’, the complete collection of his rich back catalogue of work spanning his solo career and material from The Cross, in stunning limited collectors editions and digital formats. ‘Fun on Earth’ is one of Taylor’s most exciting and accomplished pieces of work to date. Recorded at Priory Studios, Surrey, the 13 track album is a triumphant display of superior musicianship showcasing Taylor at his vocal best. ‘Say It’s Not True’ sees Taylor team up with Jeff Beck for the contemporary Queen favourite while the smooth refrains and heartfelt lyrics of ‘Woman You’re So Beautiful’ and ‘Be With You‘ come together with the powerful, reckless spirit of opening track ‘One Night Stand‘ and ‘I Am The Drummer (In A Rock n’ Roll Band)’ on what is an exhilarating, tour de force of rock music. In an interview with Classic Rock Taylor says of the new album: "My first solo effort (in 1981) was called Fun in Space. Ive called this one Fun On Earth. I've come down to earth a bit, but there's still a bit of fun in there - some smiley tracks. It's been written over a five year period, so it's very eclectic. Some gentle stuff, some rockier stuff, and some fairly political stuff." With a juggernaut career spanning six decades, Taylor was the beating heart of Queen penning landmark hits ‘Radio Ga Ga’, ‘A Kind of Magic’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ while enjoying success across the globe with accomplished solo material which reached the heights of the UK charts. A true rock icon, ‘Fun on Earth’ proves that Taylor is still performing at the top of his game and with a body of work behind him that speaks for itself, ‘The Lot’ is a must-have collectors item for any discerning music lover. Taylor has also been working with The Queen Extravaganza, the official Queen tribute band, who are coming to the UK for the first time this October. Having achieved resounding success in North America, the spectacular touring concert has already had to add more dates to its debut UK tour due to phenomenal demand. The show is designed to take the glorious music and live experience of Queen and bring it to a new generation of fans - full tour dates below. Full details of ‘Fun on Earth’ and ‘The Lot’ including release date and tracklisting will be announced in the coming weeks. |

It does promise 'COMPLETE' doesn't it? It'll be interesting to see if GB & GT have gone as far, for example, as picking up the different mixes of 'Love Lies Bleeding' (distinguishable by their slightly different titles) of 'SHE'S a Wicked Wily Waitress' and 'She WAS a Wicked Wily Waitress'. I'm hoping after the repeated 'Ensueno' debacle with Freddie releases these sort of things have been picked up. Perhaps GT or GB can confirm?? Thanks |

I really can't wait for this, i'm putting some cash aside as it looks like it's going to be expensive with all that stuff in it. You know what would be really truly amazing? If there was a vinyl release of the whole thing. That's just too much to hope for though, I imagine the production costs would be enormous for something that probably won't sell a huge number of copies. |

WTF, dude ?Well, as long as the new album is heavy with new material, I don't see much of a problem with re-visiting some "older" stuff, too. "One Night Stand" was a download only (I missed it) and "Woman...." was sung by his son, so a Roger version could be nice. |

I can't recall as not listened for ages, but there may also be slight lyrical changes in this one?? cmsdrums, you're so right about the two version, there are tow versions of Love Lies Bleeding! One of the best Cross tracks. Funny, loud and a superb guest guitar solo from Brian May. The B-side to "Cowboys And Indians", on the 7", 12" and the promo CD single. Appears on the album in a very slightly modified form. You have to listen carefully! The guitar in this original seems more prominent at the beginning, and the mix doesn't sound quite so rhythm-dominated. There is an extra line of vocals too. Just before Brian's solo, Roger screams "I want you to burn!". Part way through, the word "Burn!" is heard again. This second "Burn!" is left in the LP mix, but the first line is missing. Honest! Possibly this is an earlier take, or the track was remixed for the LP. Again the running time here (4:14) is slightly shorter than the LP take of 4:25. Tom |

We'll see...4 (or 5) solo albums + 3 The Cross albums + 3/4 Cds with single/extended versions and 1/2 DVD with videos or appeareances... It would be great, but is there any market for this? I mean, as a RT fan i want something like this but i think won't be many potential buyers as FM box for example. And we'll see the tracklist too...I hope they include every single song. From I Wanna Testify to 2013...But i think many songs won't be on this box. (My oppinion based on the last releases). I really hope to be wrong, because i do want a box as complete as possible. Does anyone know more about this? |
Ron 16.08.2013 03:32 |
Yes there might not be a market for such a box set release but then again, I see so many of these box sets by low profile artists. And they probably are not even backed up by the fact that they once were part of a big supergroup like Queen, so even thought such a set would not shift millions, I still think it can sell considerably. |
dysan 16.08.2013 03:50 |
Making stuff available that has been out of print is always going to make money, especially when it will have a huge sticker on it saying 'THE COOL ONE FROM QUEEN' |

I read somewhere that on Blue Rock sessions were written almost 30 songs (sure some of them were also worked to Happiness album) but sure there are some hidden tracks yet. |
soxtalon 16.08.2013 06:27 |
Anyone hoping for a COMPLETE set full of every demo, etc.should temper their expectations now. Yes, it's called "The Lot". But technically that could just as easilly mean The Lot of studio albums. Now with GT's words and some wording in the press release, I do think we are going to be getting some bonuses. I would bet we'd get Testify/Turn On The TV, the B-Sides, and perhaps the extended mixes etc. I'm hopeful that beyond that we could get some outtakes, etc. BUT we really shouldn't expect everything Roger ever recorded in his life outside of Queen.... Then if we don't get it, we're not supremely disappointed. And if we do...well then we are extremely happily surprised! |
cmsdrums 16.08.2013 06:39 |
I don't know that we'll get demos, working versions etc... but I would expect 'The Lot' to include everything that has been offiically released before, so all albums, singles, b sides, 12" versions, etc... I do hope for some previously unreleased live stuff or unreleased tracks that we may not know of too. Whether we need half a dozen mixes of Nazis 1994 again though (like the FM Living On My Own versions) is open to debate! No, it won't sell by the millions, but I'm pleased that RT has clearly taken the decision to do this from an artistic point of view as opposed to financial, and it's clearly a very warranted , called for and worthwhile release. Would GT be able to provide a bit more info/confirmation specifically on the inclusion of the different mix of Love Lies Bleeding that I raised earlier in this thread? Cheers |

Hopefully we get the "Lucille" unreleased studio version from the "Electric Fire" sessions, "A Nation Of Haircuts" (Number 4 All Over) mix, "Love And Lust" (with Lydia Canaan) and the full version of "I Can Take You Higher". As for "Fun On Earth", my opinion is that "Unblinking Eye", "Dear Mr Murdoch 2011" and "Say It's Not True (with Jeff Beck)" are not what I was expecting since they were one-off singles and SINT has been already released in many versions both by RT and RT/BM/PR. However they would be nice to have in a bonus disc along with Testify, Turn On The TV, Two Sharp Pencils, Feel The Force, Manipulator, In Charge Of My Heart, Heartland, Final Destination (with Yoshiki) and Keep A Knockin'. I was expecting a full album of brand new songs but anyway after 15 years of waiting, anything will be 100% welcome. The partial list of songs confirmed for "FOE" reminds me a lot to "Another World", with the difference that that album had too many covers IMO. At the time I was a bit dissapointed to know that it was going to include Memphis, Cyborg, Hard Business (that's how it was known before 1998), On My Way Up and One Rainy Wish. Those -even in different form- were already familiar to fans. Indeed "Hard Business" had been performed in 1993! |

"A MUST HAVE FOR ALL ROCK’N’ROLL FANS, ‘THE LOT’ IS A SPECIAL BOX SET SPANNING THE CAREER OF ONE OF BRITAIN’S MOST SUCCESSFUL ROCK STARS EVER " How can you build a box set around 1 single compilation cd? (well QPL probably can) |
rhyeking 17.08.2013 11:35 |
Some quick thoughts on The Lot. From the Press Release: "‘The Lot’, the complete collection of his rich back catalogue of work spanning his solo career and material from The Cross, in stunning limited collectors editions and digital formats." It sounds to me like it's not a 'Best Of' single CD release, but will account for his "complete" solo and Cross material. What I think we can glean from this is... Probable inclusions: Fun In Space Strange Frontier (UK Edition) Shove It (UK Edition, most likely) Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know (CD Edition, most likely, with Foxy Lady) Blue Rock Happiness? Electric Fire Possible inclusions: Fun On Earth - He may only make it available separately or there might be a boxed set that includes it, like how The Cosmos Rocks vinyl was included in the 2008 re-issues. No way to know until it's announced. I Wanna Testify/Turn On The TV - I expect somehow these two tracks will be included, either on a "rarities" disc in the box or as a bonus track on Fun In Space or one of the other albums. Non-Album Tracks - Like the Testify tracks I expect these will be on a "rarities" disc or as bonus tracks on their respective albums Two Sharp Pencils Feel The Force Heaven For Everyone (Roger vocals) The 2nd Shelf Mix Manipulator In Charge Of My Heart Man On Fire (Live) - Two versions of this, with and without the intro, were released. I hope one, at least, will be on the set somewhere. Heartland Final Destination (with Yoshiki) Keep A'Knockin' Difficult to predict tracks: One Night Stand (Electric Fire Version) - If the track which was announced in the press release is this same track, obviously it won't be a rarity anymore. If the new One Night Stand is a remix, a re-recording or an entirely different track unrelated to the EF track, I'd hope to see the EF version accounted for. Woman, You're So Beautiful (Felix & Arty) - Like One Night Stand, if the the Fun On Earth version is different from the F&A main mix, I hope the three F&A mixes will appear in the box somewhere. Known Demos/Outtakes - I seriously hope these appear, as well as other such unreleased tracks we haven't heard. I Wanna Take You Higher I Can Take You Higher Keep On Running Celebration I Can't Get You Out Of My Head Lucille Additional Blue Rock tracks - The band said in an interview for the album that they had something like 25 songs and picked the best ten for the album. Heartland was obviously another track from the sessions, so that leaves 14 songs, possibly unfinished, that may surface for this set. Maybe. The original Dear Mr. Murdoch was also possibly one of these tracks. Alternate versions - Too many to list fully, but I hope *at least* some of the more significant alts appear, such as: My Country (Single Version) All the various Roger/Cross Extended Versions Shove It (Metroplix Mix) Love Lies Bleeding (Original Single Version) Rough Justice (US Version) Ain't Put Nothing Down (Long Version) Dear Mr. Murdoch (Promo Version) The various Nazis 1994 remixes Foreign Sand (Single Version) Dear Mr. Murdoch (2011 Remix) - Assuming this doesn't appear on FOE. The Unblinking Eye (Almost Completely Nude) - Given the standard version (or possibly a remix of it, given the time that's passed) will be on FOE, I hope this instrumental makes it on somewhere. What would be nice: A full Cross concert A full Solo concert Okay, now onto Fun On Earth Tracks we know: One Night Stand - As noted above, it's going to be the lead-off track. It's either going to be the Electric Fire non-album track, untouched, or it'll be a remix, a re-record or an entirely new piece with the same name. If it's not entirely new, I'm still perfectly happy to see it on this album. Depending on whether it's a remix or re-record, it'll affect how I note it in my collection. Currently, it's a EF-related track. It'll be strange to have to move it. Smile - heard this at the North American Breakthru Con in Toronto in July. It's a softer track, like a happier version of Happiness. I Am The Drummer (In A Rock n' Roll Band) - heard this at the con, too, a rocker, similar in tone to Millionaire (irreverent lyrics about his role as drummer) and similar in style musically to "No More Fun," a bit. Say It's Not True (with Jeff Beck) - Okay, yeah, I agree that this is hardly a new song (46664 Versions, ROTC version, Cosmos Rocks Version, live download versions), BUT Jeff Beck is awesome and the song obviously means a lot to Roger, so I don't mind it here. It may even be an awesome version! Woman, You're So Beautiful - As discussed, this was the Felix & Arty song. Either it's the same Main Mix or a remix or a new/different recording. We'll see. I like the song anyway, so I'm fine with whatever version appears, though I'm hoping there's something new. The Unblinking Eye - Well, this should be no surprise. We've all known this track was going to be on the album. This one took a while to grow on me, but now I like it well enough (not a top fav, but a good song). Be With You - Eager to hear this one! When We Were Young - Can't wait to hear this one, too! That leaves 5 of the total 13 tracks unidentified! There's some speculation that Dear Mr. Murdoch (2011 Remix) will appear on the album. I guess it's possible, but I also think there's a big difference between Roger revisiting older non-album tracks for a new album (like One Night Stand and Woman, You're So Beautiful) and him re-using an earlier actual album track for a new album. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think he'll include the Murdoch Remix. If he does, well, it's his album to craft as he will and I respect that. And I hope the singles for the album contain a good number of alternate versions and maybe even some non-album tracks! Anyway, those are my thoughts on what we might expect. I'm thrilled both FOE and The Lot are coming! :-) |
Thistle 17.08.2013 11:39 |

cmi 17.08.2013 14:37 |
My 2 cents about 'The Lot'... 1. Hopefully Shove It and Mad Bad albums will be based on LP track list. 2nd Shelf Mix and Foxy Lady are bonus CD tracks and not the proper album tracks. 2nd Shelf Mix is actually Shove It (extended version) and Foxy Lady is the cover which works not so great as the in-the-middle album track. Both tracks better works on the possible 'extra tracks' CD with other b-sides and extended versions. 2. Manipulator hopefully will be included as unedited 4:14 full length version of the song from 12". There's no real need in edited 3:55 7" version. 3. Don't care about Nazis 1994 remixes possibly with exception of Radio Mix and Big Science Mix. Most important thing is the original banned F-word version which hopefully will be included. 4. There's no need in such 'fake' stuff as Rough Justice (US Version). Actually it's a typical one-and-only version featuring unlisted hidden Shove It (reprise) at the end of the US CD track. The same thing for 2nd Shelf Mix on the UK CD. CD track includes Shove It (extended version) aka 2nd Shelf Mix + unlisted hidded Shove It (reprise). BTW UK LP doesn't have 2nd Shelf Mix but includes Shove It (reprise) after Rough Justice. 5. Hopefully Is It Me? (full length version) with unedited extra verses and choruses will be included. 6. Shove It (Metropolix) along with Manipulator are the only released The Cross tracks which are still unavailable on the official CD. Hopefully both will be released. 7. Hopefully all '77-'84 exclusive vinyl stuff from singles will be released on CD. 8. Hopefully Foreign Sand (single version) without fadeout at the end will be released. 9. Not counting OIQFC Official Bootlegs recordings of London '90 and Dusseldorf '91 concerts, there are at least 3 professionally recorded shows: Germany (exact city is unknown) '90 (proof: Man On Fire live from Final Destionation single), Shepherdbush Empire '94 (proof: Happiness single live tracks) and Cyberbarn '98 (audio+video). Hopefully something from it will be released. |

Perhaps Roger only had time to flesh out that one song with the band, and putting it on the album would have stuck out like a sore thumb - so was just put out on the single to get it out there. I wouldn't believe for a moment that the album version was completed after the single version, regardless of what was released first. Just think how much better the Shove It album would have been had all the songs been worked up properly like Love Lies Bleeding was. |

"there are at least 3 professionally recorded shows: Germany (exact city is unknown) '90 (proof: Man On Fire live from Final Destionation single)" This version was recorded in Germany in 1988 because on backing vocals you can hear ladies. And in 1990 band members sang the backing vocals. Also if you hear the Eslingen recording you can hear a very similar version of released one. Maybe is this version with some work on studio? |
cmi 21.08.2013 03:35 |
Agr12345: Yes, you totally right. This is the 1988 tour version indeed, very close but not from Eslingen for sure. I never thought it can be version from 1988 tour on last 1990 Mad Bad single. For me it's a very good news to know that another 1988 concert was properly recorded. Dortmund '88 show was broadcasted so it was also properly recorded. Also I forgot about Geneva '90 secret gig which was captured on video. |
Agr12345 21.08.2013 03:57 |
Maybe is not from Eslingen but sure it has some studio work because in the middle of the guitar solo Roger "starts" to sing again when he always let Clayton finish the solo before he begin to sing again. This would be a good occasion to solve some mysteries like the real date of Geneve and this live version. The Geneva gig has always baffled me - pro shot with multi cameras but no top quality audio broadcast sound on it? Surely it must have been filmed for a specific reason - even if just for the band's private archive? Is it just the audio on the VHS copy that I have that makes it sounds as if there's only a few people in the audience, or was the place REALLY virtually empty? (in which case, there's no chance of it ever being commerically released). |
last-horizon 42265 21.08.2013 12:27 |
As for the Geneva gig, I am very sure that it didn't take place on 1st April. That date comes from a confusion that began spreading several years ago. Plus the european tour wouldn't start until almost two months later. It doesn't make sense. I am very confident that this gig took place sometime between the second half of may and mid june 1990. Yet no-one knows. It's very strange how not a single fan has ever reported to attend it. A really mysterious show. |
Agr12345 21.08.2013 14:29 |
I think that gig was much more time before Mad Bad Tour began because you can hear the band very nervous and doing A LOT of mistakes that didn't do on the real tour. About the people on that gig...Yes it's true, you can see about...60 persons there?? Maybe it was a private gig |

Dear Rien, Being you who posts this, I already trust that this is 100% accurate info and there's no need to ask regarding sources, therefore I am just about to fall off my chair. I am as much excited as speechless about this. Thanks for being the author of one my very favourites and relevant QZ posts of all time. I think that many of us haven't even dreamed about this. A new album including "Small" and a box with 4 cd's of bonuses + 1 DVD is way beyond of what I have been expecting. Thumbs up to the RT team and whoever is making this possible. Take care. |
Khizzy 22.08.2013 20:13 |
If those tracklistings are accurate (and I am pretty confident they are), then we have to thank Roger for approving such a rewarding project for us hungry fans! Hopefully this'll lead to the commissioning of a Queen box set.... or maybe not. But we can all dream, eh?!?! |

What people do you think that it can be the price for the box? Does anyone know about similar recent releases by other artists that we can use as a reference? |

FUCKING GREAT if this is for real! My doubts: - 4 x discs CD compilation (title TBC) I have been putting together all edits, extended versions, mixes, unreleased tracks, official live version from released singles/albums and total running time for 66 songs is 4h45min which almost fits in 4 CDs but sure in my collection there are a few songs missing, so i think we couldn't get every-single-song-released. (Unless they add the edits/extended versions to the original albums which come from) Anyway...This is much much more than i was expecting |

But who knows, for now? |
cmi 23.08.2013 01:27 |
I don't think there will be all edits. I can't see any sense in 'In Charge Of My Heart' or 'Manipulator' 7'' edits placed back to back with full length versions. |

The ONLY gripe I had with the FM Solo Collection was that there was a LOT of unused space on the discs and I think that's what we're going to get with this little "Lot" given that there are 4 discs outside of the main albums to contend with. Its a very small gripe and I'm absolutely certain that this will be absolutely brilliant. Can't wait! |
Khizzy 23.08.2013 07:07 |
I might be reading too much into things here but anyone notice that the last track on Fun On Earth is Smile? Tenuous link but it could be a nod to his former band, a nice way to close the circle if this is to be his last solo outing. |
last-horizon 42265 23.08.2013 07:19 |
Something else that has kept my attention is the short lenght for most of the album tracks. As for the edits, I think that only "My Country" will make it, and probably "Manipulator" too. I suspect that the rest of the single-only tracks will consist in songs that didn't make their way into the album, one-off singles and extended mixes. Probably a live b-side here and there too. If the "Shove It" CD will be based on the UK release, we might expect "Heaven For Everyone" by RT and "Feel The Force" too. |
cmi 23.08.2013 09:27 |
As for me, only 'My Country', 'Cowboys & Indians' and probably 'Life Changes' edits works very well, because original versions are long indeed. All other edits ('Manipulator', 'Power To Love', 'In Charge Of My Heart', 'Pressure On') are pointless. |
TomP63 23.08.2013 09:57 |
And of course there are two edited versions of I Cry For You, the single version, which clocks 4:21 and the version on which Freddie appears to be on backing vocals, running time 4:12......... Tom |
cmi 23.08.2013 10:11 |
There are 3 versions of 'I Cry For You': 1/ album version 2/ single remix by John Deacon 3/ extended mix by John Deacon. In last post I meant pure 'edits' not 'remixes'. To clarify what 'edit' is - it can be easily made from common (album or one-off single) version in sound editor by cutting some parts of the track. It's impossible to create 'I Cry For You' or 'Love Lies Bleeding' single mixes (which are shorter) from album versions of these songs. |

People, please read my last response above... Thank you Inu, But in a way it is a nice discussion on what may or may not on the CD's. There is always room for fantasy, isn't there? Tom |

inu-liger wrote: People, please read my last response above...Did GT mean that there are not 4 bonus discs? Or are there just that it isn't all demos and unreleased stuff. Cause I don't think anyone believes it's 4 discs of unreleased stuff. In fact I think most people think it will be a collection of previously released stuff - single mixes, b-sides, etc. And maybe some demos or outtakes. Which is fine. BUT if there aren't bonus discs at all well that would be shitty after getting hyped...BUT then again, I'd be guilty of not following my own advice of not believing anything until the press release. |
Khizzy 23.08.2013 13:05 |
I think if the info was bullshit, GT would have said so. The fact that he's just referred to the 4 x CDs is probably a good sign. And by "unreleased" I think he's referring to demos and not the single/alternate versions of songs. |
inu-liger 23.08.2013 16:32 |
Khizzy has the right idea. GT likely cannot reveal what exactly is on those 4 CD's if the tracklisting has not yet been finalized and signed off on, but my guess is that it could very well mean that there are items OTHER than "unreleased" material, since all the other single mixes, b-sides, collabs, etc out there are technically previously released material. "Out of print" and "unreleased" are two very different things after all. |
Agr12345 23.08.2013 16:39 |
I'll be happy if everything that was released on vinyl as B-side, or CD Single, etc is released with improved sound. Yes even Two Sharp Pencils! But i think they should add at least a few unreleased/outakes songs And of course, I want to hear a remastered version of Blue Rock. |
soxtalon 23.08.2013 17:09 |
Thanks inu - that's what I initially thought what the comment meant. I guess the reason I got confused or questioning is because quite frankly I don't think ANYone thought that the 4 discs would be unreleased material. I think we've all figured that if it is the case than it will be the out of print type stuff. I'm hoping there are a few unreleased takes in there though :) |

Having said that, the set is a summary if his solo work, so I am doubting that. GT's post about there not being 4 discs of 'unreleased' material is very disingenuous. I haven't seen a SINGLE claim that there would ever be, only that these discs would/should contain the now out of print, but previously released, tracks. Yes, a few unreleased songs and a few demos of known songs songs would be good though, but no one is expecting heaps of those. The possibility of a DVD, and the fact that the Fun On Earth album will also be included in the 'The Lot', are both good news. |

For those of you who still believe The Lot is going to be a simple compilation, please read the press release better. what i'm curious about is if there will be included some collaborations (w/ kansas, al stewart, bob geldof, whoever, etc. pp.).
that would be hard to draw a line in terms of what to choose. there's quite a lot stuff.
...and of course if there will be included some "reaction"-recordings. which obviously are known to exist now for being shared here recently...
but let's face it, folks... most likely we will HAVE to listen to the complete "olympic theme" in a few weeks. for what THAT is worth :-)
Khizzy wrote: Live at the Cyberbarn, anyone?yeah! cyberbarn would be nice. as would be the paris gig from '94. as would be the life version of "foreign sand" w/ yoshiki. somewhere in that package there HAS to be some space for roger's wonderful WWRY-rendition. (brian surely would second that. *lol*) i don't think there will be a lot of tracks included that started with queen. except, of course, for the QPR-ones. it wouldn't make sense anyway because queen is a completely different cup of tea (whilst i see "the cosmos" mainly driven by roger)... well, we know when we do. nevertheless. for me it would me most interesting to hear some tracks from the '91-'95 era that didn't leak yet!!! |

I suspect that Queen tracks will be excluded from this set as this would go against the nature of this project. While the official live versions of "Man On Fire", "EHSometime", "Old Friends", "Surrender", "Tonight" and "No More Fun" (the last three have evident studio overdubs) might be included, I think that "Wild Wind", "IWTBF", WWRY", "Ga Ga" and "TATTOOL" haven't been considered for inclusion. Same go for covers or collaborations. I can't imagine common covers performed by RT being included either (Rock N Roll, Voodoo Child, Heroes, War Is Over, etc). |
dysan 25.08.2013 02:57 |
True. As long as they stick to strict rules regarding the selection and it doesn't feel haphazard like the 40th anniversary bonus material selection. |

Yes we did see a bit of that on Freddie's box but I'm betting not here. I also would 99.9% say there would be no Queen studio tracks here. I disagree about the live B-Sides and think they probably have been considered and likely think they might be included. I also would not be shocked to see some of the other recent RT covers on there. I remember when QOL posted a few vids from Winterhall (Say It's Not True and Heroes), one of the posts by the admin team after inquiries of any more vids from the gig, said that it was the last one they were releasing...'at least til Roger's releases next year....in a cryptic teasing fashion. SO I would bet they are at least being considered. A lot changes in a few years time but at the time they were definitely under consideration. |

Pim Derks 25.08.2013 03:19 |
Ofcourse collaborations won't be included. It would be waaaay to much of a hassle to get the copyrights from all the various labels and recordings involved - and frankly, do we really think that Roger even cares about some track he sang some backing vocals on ~40 years ago? The only one which IMO deserves to be included is Hilary Hilary as it's basically a solo-track with a different lead-singer. Let's hope they've also uncovered a RT-sung version of that! :D |
