i cant put a link on (stupid pc) but its on twitter and various news sources
Well... It won't do much, but thoughts and "intent" have been shown to change activities in microscopic behaviour and the same goes for prayer on water etc... Its not entirely ridiculous. each to their own. At least somebody's thinkin bout her. I'm not a fatalist.
I've had too many "peculiar" things happen on this subject to consider this the be all end all of things.

I believe a study was done and mentioned in the book 'The God Delusion' that subjects who were informed that they would be prayed for got worse than people who weren't prayed for. It's not entirely ridiculous, but pretty ridiculous nonetheless.
Not sure how you guys can make fun of this. If you would see somebody close to you fall down in front of you and die next day, you would never make fun or sarcastic remarks about this anymore.
Was the 'Not sure how you guys can make fun of this' comment made at me? She has always been massively overweight. Time to retire, she has millions in the bank, make quality time with family and get fit and healthy. Its a no brainer really.

Kudos Matt. I have no problem with sarcasm, but if you're going to be sarcastic, at least be factually correct!
Moog... I think what you said is very callous and mean.
Would you have said that about Freddie when he found out he had AIDS... "He's got millions, he should retire and be with his family. He's always been very promiscuous. It's a no brainer really."
I don't think so.
Ok, let's put the the bullshit aside for a sec, stop ragging on each other, and let's send some prayers and good vibes towards Montsy. A stroke, no matter how major or minor is nothing to joke about. Just sayin.

I don't really see how that's disrespectful.
You could make the argument that Montserrat doesn't want to give up music (which would have been the same with Freddie), so he shouldn't have suggested that she would want to quit just to get healthy. If that's what you're saying, it's really only a little thoughtless. Not exactly mean.

The point is... Who is he to say she needs to give up performing because she has had minor stroke? What Moog stated is called implicit ageism and it is just plain stupid. Let the lady recover in peace and let her decide what she can and can't do.
The article did state that she still has all of her faculties and is booked until 2016... I say good on her.
I wish Montserrat all the best in this difficult time of her life, and i hope that she can get a full recovery and do what she loves to do...sing!
The voice of an angel.
