Its just Flash but with no parts from the film... just goes to show... approach QPL with a fist full of cash and they will give you pretty much anything you want...
I heard this different version on a Greatest Hits cassette by EMI Mexico, in 1992 or 1993 and it was, in fact one of the first songs I ever heard from Queen...
Yes, I already found out it. It seems to me, it's a hybrid of iTunes (lossy) Ted version with original single version from some recent remaster, don't know which.
I think the most shocking fact about this is that it's track 15. I thought Jim Beach had set it up so that any Queen song appearing on a compilation would be the first track. haha

Flash's Theme (Ted Original Soundtrack Version) 2:31
Written by Brian May
Appears on: Ted Motion Picture Soundtrack CD
The hillarious 2012 US comedy Ted is the brain-child of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. The film's two protagonists John (played by Mark Wahlberg) and his living stuffed animal Ted share a love of one movie, Flash Gordon. Sam Jones makes a hillarious cameo, and Queen's Flash Gordon soundtrack is featured throughout the film. The film's soundtrack features a unique edit of Flash's Theme. The Ted Soundtrack version features the audio from the album version with the opening bits with Ming removed. The track starts and ends with John's bass beat.
