Hello all,
I recently got hold of a vinyl copy of a Queen live show.
It was supposed to have been a Boston live album, but to my surprise it contained a live Queen show on the Ruthless Rhymes Ltd label. There's no tracklisting or any other information and I was hoping that some of you may let me know which show this may have been (location, venue, tracklisting, etc). Judging from what I could figure out it must be a late 1974, early 1975 show as it opens with the taped bass drum 'Procession'(?) and also includes 'Killer Queen. Looks like an incomplete show and the quality is not that great.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Much appreciated.
Best regards,
Charles
Hi,
1) Welcome to Queenzone!
2) I don't know about a Queen-show on the Ruthless Rhymes label. Would it be possible for you to post a song or a couple of samples to see what show it is?
cheers
Hello all,
Thanks for the response. I've in the meantime checked out the complete recording. It turns out to be recorded live in Tokyo. From the information I read on the Queenlive.ca site, this must be the incomplete version of the May 1st, 1975 show.
It does include 'Hangman'. I've also read there are better sounding versions available from this event, but it's a nice
collector's item, even if the sound is below par. Thanks for all your input! Best regards, Charles.
Hello all,
The cover is just a plain white sleeve. The label (Ruthless Rhymes, ltd) looks like the EMI dog with a gun pointed to its head. I'll try and upload "Hangman" soon. Best regards, Charles
