So today, they released the full clip of Bohemian Rhapsody from Hungarian Rhapsody on QueenOnline.com. With interest I note that in the end along with the audience noise, I heard the "hey hey hey hey" which comes before the "OK now's time for the Hammer to Fall" we hear on the original VHS.
Now what's interesting is, the "hey hey hey hey" is NOT heard on the original VHS, but only "OK now's time for the Hammer to Fall" but hearing the bootleg release of the complete concert, confirms the "hey hey hey hey" IS from that concert and that very part of the concert.
Does that mean there could be additional footage in this re-release that was not present in the original release? I certainly think so, maybe not much, but at least some.
Let's hope so.
I think it's a big mistake to leave the 'interview' clips in during the concert, It ruined it the first time round and it looks like they did not learn from their lesson.
Nobody wants this I'm sure and it should have been edited out altogether in my opinion.
Don't get me started on Cyberbarn.
Good point about Cyberbarn - so frustrating to know that footage is in the archive and we get it cut to shreds.
I bet the Budapest bit referred to will be the audio, but no extra video; like the beginning of Now I'm Here on Montreal - they restored the audio but played it over stock audience footage from another point in the gig as they had lost the 'proper' footage tying in with that bit of the concert.
you are right about the hey hey hey! it is not on the old release, but remember they are restoring the audio, so probably the audio we listened to was a new soundboard mix, although i don't discard anything until the blu ray is released in november
Well the fact is that the new concert is 90 mins long..1hr and 30 mins...and the edited laserdisc, vhs, and previous dvd are all 1hr and 22 mins in length......and the new cinema release has the 25 minute documentary at the beginning....so to me that means it is the unedited version of the concert with the documentary at the start..
you are wrong about that. The total runtime for the old vhs was 01:27. And taking into account that it was speeded up, probably at the correct speed would have lasted between 01:30/01:35.

Well, i like the interviews a lot, and i think they should be in the release. For a concert uninterrupted from the tour, you have wembley.
You must be a strange one if you like the constant interruptions.
The fact that there is another concert from the Magic tour without interruptions is irrelevant.
Put them in the release for sure, but keep them separate is what I am saying.

Please STOP the rumours already :-(
This concert IS THE SAME CUT as the VHS/LD release from the 80's. That's ALL the footage they have. The difference between the PAL release length and the NTSC DVD length is cause by the different framerate
I think there will be extra stuff never mind what the press release says..theres always extra stuff fans notice...Look at Champions of the world VHS release they messed up on that release.. so lets all be friends and just wait until the night lets get crazy...
I wonder about the CD they say will be included with some editions, I think it might contain the full show. The "hey hey hey hey" bit above shows they do have the full audio recording of the concert so it's definitely a possibility.
For me, if they release the cut version on DVD and the full concert on CD, just like they did with Rock Montreal, I'd definitely like that, as it's the most complete it could get with what they have at hand.
Do you have link to where they say a cd will be included with "some versions"? I haven't seem anything about an audio or video release yet other than the cinemas presentation, soni must have missed that.
Thanks
I find it a real shame QP hasn't got the masters reels of footage in their vaults. Shot on film, sixteen camera's.... such a mass production with a lot of money involved and they let MAFILM keep the film till 1996 and trash/lost the missing footage afterwards.
Sorry It's beyond my understanding.
Does anyone else know why here in the U.S. of A. that whenever I click on the "Bohemian Rhapsody" live performance from "Budapest" on QueenOnLine.com that it just plays music from the upcoming "Barcelona" release instead? What's up with that?

Probably the video is blocked in the USA ? Because if you click on a blocked video on youtube after a few seconds the next (= previously uploaded) video starts
