It's great to have the Kings back in the Stanley Cup Final after 19 years. It's great to have an LA team in the final of any sports (I hate the Lakers, so I can care less how many finals they've been to and won).
Not just in the final, but in the final after a really incredible run of success. Fans must just be pumped. I guess whatever happens in NY/NJ this will be a storybook east coast-west coast battle.
And Lord knows LA needs a bit more hockey. LOL. When LA was playing the Canucks Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa (a Canadian) played a prank on an LA radio station where he spent the whole face to face interview pretending to be Ryan Kesler (an American). It was hilarious if you knew what was going on...he spent the whole interview saying that the real hockey fans were in America, referencing playing for Team USA in the Olympics, and ended the whole thing by saying "God Bless America". LOL! link

Sorry to steer away from the topic (don't have a clue about hockey lol), but just had a wee question to ask:
what is this "I can/could care less" that I see appearing here, there and everywhere?
What does that mean? You care a "bit", but could care less?
Surely it's "I couldn't care less", which implies you don't give a fuck already so couldn't care any less about it??
Sorry Greaser, not a personal jibe :), but I always think it's funny how certain things are said differently by different people (probably depending on origin/location)

Damn, you got me there. It's funny 'cause I've corrected some of my friends before on the exact thing you're pointing out. Sucks being on the receiving end, lol.
I loved his reply that Ohio State is the one of the three best schools in Ohio, especially considering that Ohio State is the only college with in Ohio with an excellent reputation.
What is about #8 seeds in the NHL? In the last 15 NHL seasons, over half of the seasons include a #8 seed defeating a #1 seed during the playoffs.

The "Bowling Green Falcons always kind of took it to us" was the best because Bieksa actually played for them. The whole thing was classic really.
The playoffs really are in almost every way an entirely new season. It can be an entirely different skill set and mind set that grinds out 4 wins at a time againt an opponent vs finessing an 80+ game season. Leading teams can have specific vulnerabilities against teams farther back in the points that are buried in the aggregate statistics. My team had the number one seed down 3-2 in the series in the first round at one point. In the end it's so often down to a hot streak in the net. Quick has been amazing. I hope LA gets it done tonight.
Really happy for the Kings and LA fans but my Jesus talk about a game won through the officiating. Hard to see Brodeur skate off for what could be the last time with numbers like that on the scoreboard.
