This recording was taken in the Clapham Grand Theater in London where the SAS Band performed a Fan Club organized tribute concert to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death. Brian appeared very unexpectedly at the beginning of the show when most people had not yet set up their cameras :-) The reason was his later appearance in a Darkness concert on the same evening. Thanks, Brian May for making that effort, the fans were excited :-) Roger Taylor did not appear but later we learnt that his mother had passed away in that week, so our thoughts are with him and his family.
Brian performed with Kerry Ellis singing
- No-One But You
- Somebody To Love (one out of four Freddie songs performed that night)
- Tie Your Mother Down
Enjoy :-)

don't know what you're smoking, but you seem to have a nice time :-)
unfortunately it's just the anthems-bass-bloke.
wish it was deaky, though...
nevertheless... a very nice and energetic performance of ms.ellis.
brian's vocal part of NOBY is a little bit overdone and unnecessarily theatric in terms of gesture, imho.
whatever...
thank you for sharing. definetly worth a download!!
greets,
Just watched on YT... did Brian have a cold, seems to be doing a Freddie a la Japan '79 on NOBY?
Still, what a gesture to appear for the fans who made the effort and to commemorate Freddie's death. Nice one Brian!
on beyond thanks for this
sorry to hear about roger's mum. at the first o2 gig in 08, roger dedicated a kind of magic to her, as she was in the audience - nice touch I thought.
she must have been in her 80s at least?
