I was watching Chicago v. Vancouver in the NHL playoffs last night and to my surprise they played the opening riff and first few lines of Tie Your Mother Down as a crowd pumper like WWRY or Rock and Roll Part 2 or any of the other popular sports anthems. I'd never heard this before and I thought it was great! The game was played in Chicago and I don't know if it's a common one they use because I see very few Western Conference games until the playoffs.
Anyway, I just thought it was interesting but not quite worth a thread in General Discussion. If anyone is of a mind, let me know if you've heard TYMD in a sports setting before.
