Any body out there recall the 'Queen Rendevous' that were held at Haggerston Castle , near Berwick, Northumberland in 1994/95.
I was there for a family holiday and could'nt believe my luck when i found out this Queen convention was on the whole weekend. What a treat!
The weekend consisted of ; 'Magic' a kind of Queen' on the friday night to kick things off, Quizzes and games on the saturday afternoon and a Queen disco and karaoke on the saturday night, closing the weekend with a show of memorabillia on the sunday morning.
The following year consisted of 'Ga Ga' on the friday night, and a busking session, a viewing of Queen at Live Aid and disco on the Saturday .
If i remember rightly ,Dave (i think he was called) a lad from Duns, near Berwick, organised the whole shebang and done a stirling job, he ran about like a blue- arsed fly the whole weekend to keep things running smoothly. But he did mention that it was getting more difficult to organise, what with certain restraints, including financia ones and venue difficulties.
Anyway, they did'nt continue after that, but i remember everyone having a bloody good time.
Lets hear from you if you were there. (Dave Galashiels, you must of been there!, it was just up the road!)

never been to one, dont know what they are like...are they any good.
I was there! I went both years (I just live up the road) I was 14/15 so I was officially in the care of my dad's mate Sam. Daft bugger was bladdered so he was kind of in the care of me... a neurotic soda-water quaffer dressed like a mid-90's Brian (I didn't dress up specially, I just looked like that anyway) and I won a bottle of champagne on the raffle!
Happy memories- oh yes, I wish they'd do another one!
I was there the second year, as I knew the guy (John Bryce) who organised it and also the acoustic duo who played are very old friends of mine.
Thoroughly enjoyed it too!
