Just took another listen to the Dutch version, and it's not the same.
Would you be able to tell us what convention it was recorded at and in what year?
This version has not circulated before.
It's exactly what it says in the lineage.
Greg Brooks cd played on a portable cd player stereo set. That sound was recorded with a pair of condensor stereo mics.
So yes, you could call this an audience recording, but still the vocals and guitar parts sound nice and clear.
Maybe even better than on the other versions that circulate.
Ok, thanks for explaining. But I can hear coughing in the background and the ambience sounds similar to that of a large hall. I'm not saying you're lying, just curious. Are you in possession of the CD, or did you just record it whilst it was being played at some point?

Yes there is coughing in the background. But this is not recorded from the large hall + PA convention setting. The cd was played somewhere else on a cd player stereo set. That was recorded.
I don't own the GB cd.
Thanks, but am I the only one thinks this is a bit strange? Why share now? Because the other versions have been leaked? So your little gem is basically worthless now?
Sounds like a convention recording to me - there's LOTS of talking in the background. The recorder simply sat near the speakers.
Thanks for uploading it anyway. At least it hasn't the multitracked vocals of the "studio" version.
This recording is from same convention as first known recording of FIA. Just alternate source make sound a little bit cleaner. And very strange remix: why two versions there's combined in one?
This is getting ridiculous.
Why share now? Why not? Stop searching for more reasons. There aren't.
Like I said before: it is what is stated in the lineage.
GB played this on a portable cd player and that sound was captured on a recorder with stereo condensor mics.
If you want to label it as a convention recording. Be my guest. I know it isn't.

That is how it was played by Greg Brooks. You should ask him about the remix.

On convention it was played as two different parts. I should ask man who compiled these two parts for some unknown reasons. You can clearly hear moment when first "part" connects with "second": edits like this just can't be unheard.
It's not from the convention. When it was played then, it was faded out and muted in the middle for someone to speak. That is not present in this recording.

Listen to cough after "Exploses inside" lyric. It's completely similar to cough in previously shared convention recording. Fading out was cut out in this version, listen to "shift" at 1:30. Somebody just edited two parts into one. I think that this recording may have much more "weight" if both parts were unedited.
