As promised, here is my first release of Queen and related audio interviews. A few things need to be pointed out: - I do not take credit for ANY of these interviews. I did not record them nor am I the first to share them. They have been downloaded mostly from the Hub. My contribution is limited solely to collecting them in one place. - Some of these have music in them. As the songs are mostly incomplete, the quality is very low and they are played in context I don't think they should be thought of as violating any copyrights, however [disclaimer] No copyright infringement is intended! [/disclaimer]. - Having said that, some interviews were excluded for copyright reasons, namely the Radio 1 interview with Mike Read and an interview with Brian May promoting "Queen Rocks". Both have been released officially and are off-limits for this and any subsequent releases of this collection! - I have used as guideline the list of interviews from Queenpedia.com - The aforementioned list is not by any means exhaustive, indeed I have some interviews on my hard drive that are not present in this list and I have opted not to share them... for now! - In the torrent you will find a .DOC file with the aforementioned list. The interviews included in this collection are bolded - the ones I was unable to find are not. If you have any of the interviews that are missing PLEASE, contribute! - Naming this "Release 1.0" is a conscious decision. I know that there are people who are just as passionate about audio interviews as I am and I'm looking to those people to contribute. Any contribution is welcome, even if it's just an upgrade to existing material (better bitrate etc.) and not anything new. The complete list of interviews can be found here: link I hope you enjoy this. Seed as long as you can or at least achieve a 1:1 ratio. V. |

Thank You (to the power of 10) !! I remember (just about) reading some "interviews" with the boys in a girlie mag like 'Jackie' (I think) in around 76 - most of them said Hendrix was their hero. Which makes a nice change from the Beatles, who many people revere as Gods (esp. over the past 15 years). I do like Beatles a lot, but Queen, the Doors and some others were better ! Hendrix was pretty good as well (and such a cool dude) .... |

Aah, very nice from you, Vlad :-) I have in FLAC something called "Capital Radio Interviews 76" "John_Deacon_Interview (unknown year)", "Radio 1 Interviews 77" . Anybody know what can it be ? Also, should I upload them ? + of course the :In The Studio" interviews, but I think they were re-shared here not so long ago |

I remember the late, great Alan "Fluff" Freeman playing 'Tenement Funster' and 'Flick Of The Wrist' together, on his Saturday Rock Show, in around 76, 77 - mind-blowing ! BTW Pittrek , I visited Bratislava in 2001 - lovely place ! |

The second could be anything - I'd love to give it a listen. V. |

I uploaded an Interview from 2 F.M Ireland, but I cannot find the original Announce. For those of you who missed it here it is. link It was broadcast over a period of two show(2 weeks) on 2 FM Ireland around 31/05/1986 and features Roger and Brian being interviewed by B.P Fallon for his show The B.P Fallon Orchestra. Great interview, well worth a listen. |

The capital Radio interviews were broadcast in 1976 in the London area (approx 90 mins) and were from a show called 'Hullabaloo' with Roger Scot. Radio one broadcast the 45 minute 1977 interviews in the UK that year. The John Deacon one may be the 25 minute US interview from 1977 with Jim Ladd. |
pittrek 21.07.2010 13:33 |
Yes, I think it can be yours - thanks again :-) The John Deacon interview is hosted by John Ladd, but it is 11:56 long |

pittrek wrote: OK, Radio 1 1977 interview (incomplete) : link Reply: I think this is an edit I did of the Radio 1 Tom Brown Interview some 33 years ago and already included in the mp3 version 1.0 share, hence incomplete. |

on my hdd I found somethinks like this from old shares: - radio message to Mexico - Freddie, 46sec, Sir GH uploud? I don't remember... - Leeds 1982 - pre gig interviews with Brian and Roger, 15min, sounds like from some vinyl - Queen inteview with Mary Turner during their U.S Hot Space Tour in 1982 for Westwood One, "Off the record", date of broadcast: 04/10/1982 - must be edited, with official tracks 57min. and maybe also... - Killer Queen from Troetelschijf (Holland "top 30"?) from 1974 - some radio intro added to this song, also must be edited |
