I wonder how many of our British fans have received the free version of Prince(or Squiggle's)new album.
Kinda makes me wonder Q+PR coulda did the same thing with Cosmos Rocks. It might have got more sales that way.
The way that the British press was going on this Prince album was something special. From what i've heard of it,its shite.
What do you think?

he did this with his Earth CD in the mail on sunday a few years back, the reason why other artists dont do this as well is because:
a] the official charts do not recognise it as an official sale so it doesnt get a chart placing and
b] the sale of the newspaper doesnt come near to the price of a cd in the shops or online so less money in the pocket for the artist

I understand where you are coming from in this one.
But i was wondering if Brian,Roger and Paul had thought about releasing a 7 track CD via the Daily Mirror or the Sun that The Cosmos Rocks might have sold better.
Its not a bad album.

they did do it for some form of compilation cd with the Mail on Sunday featuring a few Brian/Roger "hits" and the cast of WWRY if i remember rightly..
but yes, they would of shipped more copies of Cosmos Rocks by giving it away with a paper, wasn't exactly a big seller on its own was it? :-p
