Probally already thread about this but... >:]
I am seeing We Will Rock You this month at the Dominain Theatre in London I have already seen it on tour and I thought it was fantastic! I saw it as more of a tribute to Queen and their legacy if anything. The story line is tottally bonkers yet I think it works so well xD
So whats all your opinions on it? Have you seen it before? Did you like or dislike it?
:-]
Let's face it, it could and should have been SO much better - with that amount of potential material
As it is, it's nothing more than a pantomime
Art with a capital F
I've never seen it, though i've always wanted to. I wish they would bring it the Musical over here to the United States.
Just until i oneday move out there to the Uk, my god that's where i want to move someday.
I mean they love Queen over there, well at least alot more than they do here.
Have fun dear, i've heard the soundtrack, and it does sound out of this world, but that's the unique sound of Queen.
OMG, I've seen we will rock you the musical, It was what got me obsessed with Queen, I'm going again this year to see it in London because it is awesome, It's is pure Queen!!!!!! If anyone here is going to go and see it then you are sooooo going to love it. XD
i agree it could be better but t still is great ive seen in it london, edinburgh and toronto so its worth it, just get a good drink of booze and then go a enjoy, cant wait till jan 2011 its back again in scotland in glasgow pavillion
Now look, never mind the qualities , the criticism, the crappiness or anything else, no matter what your opinion is of WWRY, It's a great excuse for a night out to hear Queen's music belted out live with great gusto !
Master Marathon Runner.
It's opening this fall in Stockholm, Sweden. Do Brian and sometimes Roger attend at ALL the premieres? If that's the case, i might fight for a ticket...
WWRY proves that mo matter how good the music is, if a musical isn't well written, then it's not going to be great. Although WWRY featured awesome music (of course :D), it was really badly written IMO and as such I didn't like it much at all. Compare that to Mamma Mia, which has great music (albeit not as good as WWRY) but also has an amazing story and is written fanstastically well. I've seen Mamma Mia three times and it's one of my all-time favourite musicals. I can't say the same for WWRY.
